An oak full tester bedstead in the 18th Century manner, with panelled canopied roof and headboard and turned and ringed end posts CONDITION REPORTS Mattress will be 5ft x 6ft 6" approx width to fit this bed. Condition overall appears good though with some splits to the wood which arguably adds to the character rather than detracts. The base is a compliant base. The piece is already disassembled. There are 14 sections in all including the two part bed base, two front turned posts 206 cm high, the two section headboard and ceiling panel . Width of headboard 5ft 4" or 163 cm, length of side panels / cornice 7ft 2" or 208 cm. In answer to the question how heavy? We have not weighed it but each piece manageable by one person - possibly with the exception of the two bed bases. In answer to the question - how solid? Not quite sure of the meaning of the question. How old? Suggest mid to late 20th Century. There is a bed base but no mattress. There are crewel work style pelmets but no curtains.
