An 18th century Italian Albarello, decorated in typical bright enamel colours, marked "Pitt. De. Opio". Height 6.75 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This vase has various chips and nibbles to the top rim. There are also a number of hairline cracks running the whole length of the piece. There is also a hairline crack across the bottom of the jar and a large chip to the left hand side of the foot rim. Despite the extensive hairline crack the piece is not in any danger of breaking.

An Italian maiolica albarello, painted in shades of blue, ochre and green with flowers and foliage, 18cm high; and a pair of Dutch Delft baluster vases, of octagonal section and painted with a landscapes, 26.5cm high, 18th century. Provenance: Sold on behalf of the executors of Sir Peter Llewellyn Gwynn-Jones, KCVO (1940-2010). He was a long-serving officer of arms at the College of Arms in London. He was Garter Principal King of Arms, the senior officer, from 1995 to 2010.
