Künstlerinfo: deutscher Maler und Restaurator (1911 Freiburg im Breisgau bis 2009 ebenda) absolvierte eine Lehre als Dekorationsmaler, 1929 Studium der Malerei an der Badischen Landeskunstschule in Karlsruhe unter Georg Scholz, besuchte ebenfalls die Radierklasse unter Walter Conz, 1932/33 Meisterschüler mit eigenem Atelier bei Hermann Goebel, er meldete sich jedoch aus politischen Gründen als Meisterschüler ab, anschließend an der Kunstakademie München unter Julius Hess, erwarb 1940, unmittelbar vor seinem Kriegsdienst, seinen Meisterbrief, er verarbeitete das im Krieg erlebte in vielen Skizzen und war danach freischaffend in Freiburg-Zähringen, 1960/69 Vorsitzender des Fachverbandes der Bildenden Künste Südbaden im Wechsel mit Bildhauer Walter Schelenz, war tätig bis 2001.
