A GOOD .451 ENFIELD / WHITWORTH PATTERN 1863 THREE BAND PERCUSSION TRIALS RIFLE, no visible serial number, complete with bayonet, 32 1/2in. barrel rifled with Whitworth patent hexagonal rifling, (muzzle recrowned), block and blade front-sight, ladder rear-sight the sighting bar marked 'H' and 'C' and the ladder sides graduated on one side for hexagonal and the other for conical projectiles, the lock bearing the Crown V.R. cypher on the tail and '1863 ENFIELD' to the centre, iron-mounted figured full walnut stock the butt impressed with the Enfield 1st class roundel and also the roundel of Robert Hughes of the Universal Firearms Co, three barrel bands the top band with its special circular bayonet lug unique to the Enfield / Whitworth, sling swivels, rod a replacement, complete with its rare yataghan sword bayonet, the blade and grip fully Enfield marked and bearing the Crown V.R. cypher with its correct iron mounted black leather scabbard, the bayonet in very good condition.

MILITARIA - A FRENCH M1866 'CHASSEPOT' YATAGHAN SWORD BAYONET the 56cm steel blade with an uninscribed back-edge, the hilt with a hooked quillon and a brass grip and pommel, the cross-guard with indistinctly impressed number '..7838', overall 68.5cm long. Condition Report : Some surface rust; lacking scabbard. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting (where possible) any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
A vintage Indian variation of a Nepalese / Gurkhas Kukri knife. The knife having a hooked pommel with brass finial and smooth bone grip inlaid with white metal details and a brass collar. The recurved ' Yataghan ' style blade housed within a leather wrapped wooden scabbard. Measures approx 43cm.
