1856 pattern British Yataghan bayonet and scabbard made under German Kirschbaum contract. Features solid leather hatched grip in good period condition, affixed solidly, spring steel bayonet lock missing locking button, steel guard with twin curved guard quillon and muzzle ring. Yataghan pattern single fullered 56cm blade with period edge nicks and minor steel age patina, end looks to have been reshaped, German Kirshbaum manufacture stamp to blade ricasso. Scabbard leather with surface wear, most stitching missing, bottom mount pin gone. Measures 69.5cm long.
Lot of 1866 pattern French Chassepot Yataghan sword bayonets (2). Features solid brass ribbed hilt with working spring steel bayonet lock, steel guard with curved quillion, the muzzle ring numbered 8323 with inspection stamps. Yataghan pattern single fullered 58cm blade, with minor period edge nicks and dark steel age patina. Straight body scabbard, black paint with period loss, Japanese scabbard frog. Measures 71.5cm. 2nd bayonet is a converted 1866 Yataghan to long knife, with hard brown composite grip and brass plug etched imp du Mutzig armoury along spine, age patina and surface rust. Measures 70cm long.

Yataghan pattern single fullered 58cm blade, with minor period edge nicks and etched to back spine St. Etienne 1873.
A French M1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonet, the T section steel blade faintly engraved Mre. Imp.ale de Mutzig, the steel crossguard and scabbard marked with differing numbers; a British 1907 Bayonet, the blade with crowned GR, 1907, dated 3 '18 and with bend mark, with steel mounted leather scabbard (2) . 1 - Rust pitting to crossguard and scabbard. 2 - Rust pitting to hilt. Scabbard mounts are later painted green.
Three French M1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonets, one with chromed finish to the hilt, blade and scabbard, two with brass hilts and steel scabbards (3) . The numbers on the crossguards and the scabbards do not correspond. One with deep rust pitting to the hilt and scabbard, with black patching to the blade. One with a dent to the scabbard. One with later chromed finish. There are no press studs to any of these bayonets, and never have had any.

A Turkish sword yataghan. c.1800, blade inlaid with extensive silver inscriptions mostly comprising poetry and including 4 inscribed roundels, silver with filigree decoration and set with fluted corals and beads, in a later scabbard with tinned brass mounts.
