1796 Pattern Infantry Sword and 1856/58 Sword Bayonet 32 1/2 inch, double edged blade with traces of etched Prince of Wales plumes and floral scrolls. Gilt brass, double shell guard with folding rear section. Gilt brass crossguard and double knuckle guard (possibly period replaced). Urn pommel. Wooden grip. Gilt brass now tarnished. Some pitting to blade. Together with 1856/58 sword bayonet. 22 3/4 inch, single edged Yataghan blade with large fuller. The forte stamped "H & H Co". Steel crossguard with large muzzle ring. Steel pommel with screw fitted spring. Locking stud absent. Replaced wooden slab grips. Surface rust. 2 items.
French Chassepot Sabre Bayonet and Similar 22 3/4 inch, single edged, Yataghan blades with large fuller. Rear edge with maker details dated 1874. Steel hook quillon. Brass ribbed grip with top steel release catch. Together with an unidentified similar example. 19 1/4 inch, single edged, straight blade. Fuller running through the point. Forte stamped "2". French style hook quillon and brass ribbed grip. Contained in a French pattern steel scabbard. Exterior steel pitted. Blade clean. 2 items.

A French model 1866 chassepot bayonet, the 57cm fullered yataghan shaped blade stamped indistincly to the back edge, having a hooked quillon and ribbed brass grip, housed in a steel scabbard, 70cm, together with one other French chassepot bayonet and scabbard. (2)Both scabbards heavily dented.Both pitted.No serial numbers present to either quillon or scabbard.Press studs not working.
An Early 19th Century Turkish Yataghan, the blade inlaid in gold with panels of text, possibly from the Koran, with a narrow fuller running along the back edge, the bolster with silver flower studded decoration, the marine ivory earred grip with similarly decorated silver backstrap, the black leather scabbard with coiled metal stitching to the seam, 75cm. Some black patching and minor pitting to the blade. Age cracks to the marine ivory grip. The coiled metal stitching to the scabbard seam is coming undone slightly towards the tip.

Some black patching and pitting to the blade. Age cracks and chips to the marine ivory grip, Numerous small dents to the brass mounts of the scabbard.

Stamped with “tulle juin 1872” in script to edge of the blade. Accompanied by a French Lebel bayonet with quillon and housed in steel scabbard. Cruciform blade remains in good condition. (2 items)

Accompanied by two British 1907 pattern bayonets with scabbards. One complete with damaged leather bayonet frog. Both show wear and surface staining to the blades. (3 items)

Housed in its original leather scabbard with steel mounts. Yataghan blade with fuller to back edge. Acceptance stamps and “REEVES” to the forte. Some surface staining to the blade and tape repair to the lower section of the scabbard.

Salter operated at this address from 1801-1824. Yataghan brass hilted bayonet similar to the Chasspot Model 1866 Sabre bayonet. The ricasso is marked with a small Maltese Cross device and the grip slot is not for the French Rifle. It is however near identical to the British P1856 sword bayonet. The pommel is stamped 'I.Y.' which could be for the Imperial Yeomanry. An interesting bayonet in good condition probable made in Germany for the UK. In its steel scabbard (a little tight at the top).
A BRITISH 1856 PATTERN ENFIELD SWORD BAYONET the 58cm Yataghan blade stamped to the ricasso 'VR' beneath a crown, to one side, and 'E [crown] 33' and 'WD' below an arrow mark, to the other side, the back edge also marked, with a diced black leather grip, the pommel numbered '604', in a (later painted) steel scabbard, overall 74cm long.
