Masonic Interest: a small circular masonic pendant, diam 41mm, depicting the all seeing eye, temple, trowel, compass, mallet and other masonic themed items, in foil, paper etc, housed in double sided glazed locket, the reverse showing woven brown fabric backing, integral loop for suspension. GC (some elements are now detached and loose within frame). These items were often produced by French Napoleonic Prisoners of War.

Jellicoe commanded the Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland in May 1916. He later became Governor-General of New Zealand in September 1920 and while there also as a Grand Master of New Zealand's Masonic Grand Lodge. When Jellicoe returned to England he was created Earl Jellicoe and after his death in 1935 he was buried in St Pauls Cathedral.

Game Esq. C.C. President of the Butchers Charitable Institution to lay the foundation stone of the new homes at Smoothfield Hounslow', turned ivory baluster handle, in the original fitted case, length 40.2cm. Provenance: The trowel is being sold on behalf of The Butchers and Drovers Charitable Institution.
