Vickers (V.C.) Drawings for "The Google Book" one in ink, signed with initials and dated 1913, one coloured crayon, the remainder in pencil on tinted paper, slightly frayed at corners, average size 270mm. by 325mm. ***The book, written and illustrated by V.C. Vickers, was first pubished in an edition of 100 copies in 1913. Subjects of this set of drawings are The Great Skull-Headed Stone Trot, (the ink drawing probably a preminary design preceding the pencil drawing), The Little Horn Back, The Little Horn Back, The Ha! Ha!, The Great McDoo or Dewar Bird, The Mirabelle, The Lemon Squeezer, and The Sun Bird (in crayon).
A 19th century horn beaker, with a plated mount, 5in (13cm) h, a horn and treen scoop, a 19th century beaker engraved a hunting scene, damaged, a sycamore butter pat, a sycamore lemon squeezer, a pierced bone folding pen knife, a pair of 19th century steel snuffers and four butter knives. (11)

An 18th century wine glass and two rummers, the former with a tear to the base of the conical bowl above partially hollow ball knopped stem on domed folded foot, 15cm (6in) high, one rummer engraved with hops, wheat and the initials JS, and the other engraved with chevron band, both on square lemon squeezer feet, 13cm (5.25in) high (3)
An early 19th Century commemorative rummer having a square terraced lemon squeezer base rising to a bladed knop and a large ovoid bowl, the bowl engraved to one side with a figure of a horse below "In Rememberence of Young Citizen", to the reverse a sailing boat below "Success to Rochdale Canal" all beneath a running floral border.
