Seven Georgian square based glass rummers, comprising a pair with lemon squeezer base and ovoid bowls, 13.5cm. high; one with lemon squeezer base and ogee bowl with engraved zig zag and star border, 14.9cm. high; and four others; together with four 19th century round based rummers. (11), *Condition: - Pr. lemon squeezer: Both with couple of minute corner frits to base. Otherwise good., - Engraved lemon squeezer: Chip to corner of base and a few tiny frits to other corners. Heavy scratching beneath. Bowl VG., - Facet cut stem with petel cut bowl: Small chip to underside of base and tiny chips to other corners. , - Pr. plain square base: One with several small base chips, the other with tiny base frits., - Smaller plain square base: Three small base chips and several frits to base., - 4 x round base: All very good with no faults.
A .32'' EXTRA SHORT CALIBRE 'LEMON SQUEEZER', manufactured by the Chicago Firearms Co. Circa 1895, this pistol was designed to be concealed in the hand with tip of the barrel protruding between the fingers and it fired when the hand was squeezed, its official titled was the 'Protector', its action is in working order but there is some loss of nickel plating, this design was first patented in March 1883, it bears the serial number 3018, this is an obsolete calibre pistol and is classed as an antique under section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act

WW1 New Zealand Expeditionary Force Gallipoli & Western Front Snap Shot Photographs.An interesting collection of small “Box Brownie” snap shot photographs believed taken by a member of the 1st Canterbury Regiment NZEF, including Gallipoli and the Somme 1916. The images include rare front line trenches, possibly the summer of 1916, these show men looking through periscopes and one soldier firing an SMLE rifle via a periscope. Other images include military trains, downed aircraft, shell damage, groups of men, ammunition etc. One image shows three men, one with “Lemon squeezer” and two with slouch hats with text to reverse “Myself taken at Gallipoli”. A number of photographs with details to the reverse. Photographs loose, but accompanied by original photograph album. (approx 43 images) Some faded.
