The above shirt was worn by Alessandro Nesta during the 2005-06 season. Provenance: The San Siro Museum
A WHITE AC MILAN SHORT-SLEEVED SHIRT No.4 with v-neck collar and printed badge, the reverse lettered Kaladze, one sleeve with Lega Calcio Serie A flash and with further European Cup flash. The above shirt was worn by Kaladze in a match against Barcelona played on 30th July 2003. The above shirt design was only worn on this occasion, the shirt lacks the Italy Cup patch in the centre. A Chinese blue and white sleeve vase, finely painted around the body with a scene depicting a warrior bearing a spear and with two attendants, consulting a sage who holds a gnarled staff and points to the mountains, the central band with four cranes divided by scrolls, all between anhua bands of flowers and chevrons, Shunzhi period 1644-1661, restoration to base, 43cm. From the collection of Professor D R Laurence MD. Cf. Shunzhi Porcelain, Treasures from an Unknown Reign, no.55 for a similar vase.

Eusebio: a red Benfica No.9 jersey worn in the European Cup quarter-final (1st leg) v Manchester United at Old Trafford 2nd February 1966, Long-sleeved, cloth club badge, plus additional cloth badge bearing the Portuguese national crest on the left sleeve, gained as a swap by Denis Law at the end of the game. Manchester United won the first leg 3-2 with Denis Law scoring once, whilst the legendary Eusebio set up both the Benfica goals. The return leg in Portugal was the famous George Best ‘El Beatle’ match and arguably one of Manchester United’s finest ever performances when they sensationally beat Benfica 5-1. Later in 1966 Eusebio was to return to England and became one of the shining lights of the 1966 World Cup finals, winning the ‘golden boot’ after scoring nine goals.
Hernan Crespo: a dark blue Argentina No.19 2002 World Cup jersey worn in the match v Sweden at the Miyagi Stadium 12th June, short-sleeved, Climacool dual-lined, FIFA World Cup flash to left sleeve, the reverse lettered CRESPO. Provenance:. This jersey was given by Crespo to Jose Pantano, the Argentine Football Association chief of security. The jersey was then sold and the buyer offered it at Bonham’s 2nd November 2005 as lot 680 where it was purchased by the current vendor.
