A white gold sapphire and diamond ring,with an oval mixed cut sapphire, four claw set in a plain collet. A pair of princess cut diamonds, end set to each side to solid rounded shoulders and a plain shank. Marked 750. Head 14 x 9.90mm.Finger size I-I½Condition report: Shank slightly misshaped from being sized down.Marks to the shank.Rhodium worn on the lower half of the shank.Under 10X magnification, tiny marks to the table facet edge, could possibly have been like this when it was cut and polished.
An Art Deco diamond and synthetic sapphire plaque ring, c.1930,possibly American. Three graduated emerald cut diamonds, milligrain set in a fingerline position to the centre. Pierced tapered box setting at each side with milligrain set old brilliant cut diamonds, with lines of calibré cut synthetic sapphires to the shoulders, with a border of old brilliant cut diamonds. A shallow gallery, chenier shoulders with hand engraved laurel guards and shoulders to a plain shank. Tested as approximately platinum. Head 18.90 x 15.40mm, 4.98g.Finger size L-M approximately (not round)Condition report: Very slight table facet edge wear to the central three diamonds.Shank not round, has been sized down in the past.Substantial wear to the sapphires under 10x magnification.Marks to the mount.H/I/J range.Colour/ clarity SI1/SI2 P1

Pairs of baguette cut diamonds, rub set in white gold collets to each side, to a yellow gold shank. Tested as approximately 18ct gold. Head 21.1 x 15.15mm, 6.44g.Finger size PCondition report: A chip to the long crown facets to one side of the composite. x2 diamonds chipped.Light surface marks.Light surface marks to the table and poor polish.

Tested as approximately platinum, 2.91g.Finger size NCondition report: Surface marks/scratches to mount.Solder join visible at base of shank, where ring has previously been sized.Shank slightly thinner at base, possibly due to wear.Claws show signs of having been retipped.Shank possibly a replacement, solder joins visible where shoulders meet shank. Sapphire measures approximately 9.10 x 6.94 x 4.57mm, estimated as approximately 2.30ct.An inclusion towards one end of the table, surface-reaching at one end.

A Victorian figured walnut centre table of serpentine form, with ormolu mounted cabriole legs, width 130cmCONDITION: Overall in rather neglected condition, top dusty but still of fair colour, some small losses to the crossbanding and two sections of edge moulding now missing, frieze drawer to the centre of one side, ormolu discoloured but looks to be complete, some losses of veneers to the legs.

Images of frame and verso will be uploaded in due course.Following a clean the surface has sustained a degree of loss to the original integrity and the paint is rather thin in places. The shadowing and darker pigments in the upper left hand corner have been strengthened, as have a good amount of corresponding tones, shadows and pigment throughout the work. i.e. the front of the table in the lower right hand corner and lower edge has been largely strengthened or over painted as have a good degree of the seat of the chair, the back thereof and many of the shadows around the face, jacket, shirt, pile of manuscripts, elements of the jug, etc. there is a effectively horizontal line of retouching running from his inner left hand side lapel across the gentleman’s shoulder and is approx.. 4cm in length, possibly to disguise an old damage or mild tear? Not evidence of this to reverse. Some surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Odd superficial surface scratch towards lower right hand corner, further superficial vertical scratch above signature approx.. 1cm in length. Very fine stable craquelure in places. Overall stable condition.
