Lot 1204
A Regency mahogany worktable, rectangular, with rounded corners, frieze drawer with wooden knob handles, blue pleated cloth bag and all raised on ring turned tapered legs. Width 61 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top surface is flat but does have old ink and watermarks. There is also a stress fracture to the front right hand corner. the colour is however generally good. The drawer front is in generally good condition. There is a missing lock escutcheon and a small loss to the bottom right hand corner of the cockbeading. The braid to the cloth bag is a little loose in places but there are no real condition issues with the pleated material. The legs have no breaks and are in generally very good condition. The piece is structurally sound. The pull out basket is contemporary to the work table. It operates as it should. When the basket is fully withdrawn from the table there is a 10 cm loss to the bottom edge of the front runner. This does not impede the operation of the basket. The cockbeading that is missing is in the bottom right hand corner of the drawer front. This is minor. There is a further section of beading missing to the right hand side just above the sliding bag finished edge strip.
