An ebony mounted brass sextant bearing ivorine plaque inscribed "Mrs Janet Taylor 104 Minories London improved 816" and with ivorine rule housed in a mahogany case CONDITION REPORTS Case with various scratches, scuffs, marks, chips, dents dark marks etc throughout. Probably with replaced locking mechanism. Some compartments in the interior are empty. The sextant itself - one lens appears to have damage and is yellowed/cloudy. the ivory is stained. Various general signs of wear and tear throughout. There is a hole at the bottom of the carry handle - see images.
