Attributed to Elijah Comfort and Michael Cardew A large Winchcombe Pottery casserole dish and cover, made by Comfort, and believed to have been decorated to the lid and inside of the dish by Cardew, impressed pottery seal, 9" diameter, 6 1/2" high. Provenance: with Ruskin Decorative Arts, Stow.
Ruskin Pottery - An early high fired bowl of footed shouldered ovoid form with roll rim decorated in a flambe tonal green, white and lilac bloomed glaze with mottled specks and lower curtain, impressed oval West Smethwick mark with date for 1903, together with an Oriental inspired high fired stand of circular form with pierced decoration and four scroll feet, impressed marks, combined height 20cm. ILLUSTRATED

ILLUSTRATED N.B - This is a rare high fired flambé colour variant known only to exist on a handful of examples.
