The Britannia table top polyphon, stained wood case, the inside lid with an image of Britannia, the movement playing 23cm discs, case 44cm.Condition report:There are cracks, scratches, staining and losses all over the body. Thee are losses to the image of Britannia inside, loss of varnish inside and cracks to the base. There do not appear to be any missing teeth nor tooth tips. It has a key but does not wind. A POLYPHON DISC MUSICAL BOX late 19th century, with a level-wind movement (working), in a walnut veneered case of serpentine form, with a colour printed pictorial sheet to the lid interior, 28cm wide; together with thirty 20.5cm (8 1/8 inch) diameter metal discs. A Polyphon walnut cased music box, late 19th century, interior with inset trademark medallion, of sarcophagus form and with carved details and ribbon tied floral inlay to the hinged lid, with handle and an assortment of discs, H 35cm, W 58cm, D 52cmCondition Report: Overall the case is in good condition. There is a trade label to the interior of the box which would assume the case and mechanism have been overhauled or restored. Noted some scratches and wear under the polish. Wilson Peck & Co Ltd Polyphon, late 19th/early 20th century, the key wound movement set to a serpentine walnut and burr walnut case, 36cm x 34.5cm x 21.5cm, with thirty three 28cm diameter discs (34) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The comb appears to have all its teeth, and the mechanism currently rotates when wound without a disc in place. With a disc in place, rotation becomes somewhat 'sticky' with manual turning required to get it going again. The metal bracket supporting the comb appears to be highly corroded. The case shows various chips and dents, and wear to the ebonised finish. The discs are untested.
A German Polyphon, late 19th/early 20th century, the lever operated movement set to a faux rosewood case, 19cm W x 18.5cm D x 12.5cm H, with twenty 16.5cm diameter discs (21) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The comb appears to have all its teeth. The mechanism sometimes rotates when wound without a disc in place, but this is intermittent, with no obvious cause for the failure to rotate, and no obvious reason why it starts rotating again. With a disc in place, the mechanism does not appear to rotate. The case shows wear to the faux rosewood finish throughout (particularly to the top). The illustrated panel inside the hinged cover is stained. The discs are untested.
A 19th century Morpheus Polyphon in a walnut case, 46cms wide; together with six discs each 29.5cms wide.Condition ReportIn working order with good clear sound. It stops at the end of a tune on its own and by the pull stop on the front of the case. There are six 12ins (30cms) discs. The case has had a veneered patch to the left hand side and has various nicks and dints and some minor lifting to the veneer in places and the picture to the inside has a water stain and rippling, otherwise looks to be in good overall condition

The polyphon of ebonised wood with engraved detail and brass fixtures. Discs mostly comprising Christmas carols, including Hark the Herald Angels Sing, While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks, Whiter than Snow, Jolly Tars Polka, and a number by Ira D. Sankey.
