A Nicole Freres polyphon: with floral inlaid and crossbanded lid, the lid interior inset with an engraving of putti playing music and dancing, having a lever wound mechanism playing on a 16.5cm. comb, bears Nicole Freres label, 54cm. wide, together with a large quantity of 40cm. diameter discs.

Comb good and complete. Case faded and with some losses to crossbanding and inlays.
Late 19th century German clock / Polyphon with spring-driven movement, gilt metal dial with bead border and original white chapter ring with Arabic numerals, top mounted Polyphon, in a beech case of architectural form, with applied twisted gilt metal columns and hinged cover with gadrooned decoration and gilt metal handle, opening to reveal the Polyphon movement, on four bun feet, together with five Symphonia discs, 30cm overall height (key present) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Clock movement is clean and appears to be in working order. Gilt metal dial is dirty. Chapter ring is cracked in several places. Polyphon is complete and again appears to be in working order. Comb is slightly worn but not broken. Case is generally good but dirty. Metalwork is tarnished and applied decoration to one corner of top is missing. Some minor damage to case on base below back door
A Late 19th Century mahogany cased Schutz Marke German polyphon The hinged cover revealing interior brass fittings and name plate, the case with inlaid foliate decoration together with thirteen various disks, case and raised upon four compressed bun feet, 19cms high x 31cms wide x 27cms deep.
A polyphon and ten 23cm (9 inch) discs, the doors of the mahogany cabinet cross banded in rosewood about central figured walnut rectangular insets, the discs playing on two 9cm (3.5 inch) combs, the ebonised interior with a window onto the clockwork motor in the base, the cabinet 52cm (20.5 in) high There is a gallery missing from the top of the cabinet and one foot is currently loose from the base but present. Four teeth are broken from the combs
A Polyphon, with six discs, in a walnut case, 25.5 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by RB The movement winds and turns (without a disc), all teeth present (very minor/slight surface rust), to the inside of the case, at the back there appears to be a section of the case removed, I assume to help the disc rotate, the metal discs are 20.5 cm diameter, the case is generally good, with a few smallish areas of loss to the walnut veneer, with the printed label to the inside of the top generally good to. Please note Charterhouse do not guarantee the working condition of any clocks and mechanical items.

19th CENTURY WALNUT CASED POLYPHON the floral inlaid hinged lid with shaped and carved detail lifting to reveal the disc playing area with 'Schutz Marke', the underside of the lid holds a glass image of children playing musical instruments and dancing, the case body with shaped panels, pillars to each corner and raised on a shaped base with carved detail, 34cm high x 58cm wide x 52.5cm deep, with handle and twenty discs with a variety of tunes
