A George IV brass pantograph William and Samuel Jones, London, circa 1825 The pivoted frame with circular purple velvet covered anchor-weight fitted to an adjustable slider against engraved ratio scale to one arm opposing fixed pencil holder to the other, the centre with subsidiary pivoted armature with further adjustable slider against a similar scale for the tracing stylus and signed W & S Jones, 30 Holborn, London to the opposing member, fitted with removable bone wheel castors to each junction/terminal, in original mahogany box with tracing pointer and weighted pencil carrier, 71cm (28ins) long. The partnership between the brothers William and Samuel Jones is recorded in Clifton, Gloria Directory of British Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851 as operating from several addresses in Holborn, London 1792-1859 (including 30 Holborn 1800-1860).

A rare early Victorian W. and A. Smith type brass pantograph William and Andrew Smith, London, circa 1840 Constructed from three rectangular and two cylindrical section members assembling to form a bisected parallelogram with bone wheels set at each end of the central member fitted with adjustable steel pivot point opposing sliders for the tracing stylus and pencil carrier each set against engraved ratio scales, the tracer beam engraved Invented & Made by W. & A. Smith, in original mahogany box with brass pivot block, tracing pointer and weighted pencil carrier, the box 61cm (24ins) long. The partnership between William and Andrew Smith is recorded in Gloria, Clifton Directory of Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851 as working from 46 Lisle Street, Leicester Square, London 1838-40. The design current lot was presumably developed during the two years that this partnership existed.

Plus a twin four wheel diesel multiple unit set, comprising a power car and a driving trailer. In maroon with white lining, silver roofs and black frames. Both items in good reproduction boxes. VGC, minor wear.
An MTK unbuilt white metal kit of a diesel multiple unit "Cravens Parcels", a further MTK kit of a Derby unit, a part built electric pantograph locomotive and three further kits to include an Anbrico Fowler showman's engine (7). CONDITION REPORT The unmade kits would appear to be complete although not every piece has been checked.
