NIMRODProperty of WILLIAM CHARLES ROBERTS born 1872 Feltham, London.Travelled to New Zealand upon the SS Runic with 7 shore party members, Roberts was the cook for the expedition but also was acknowledged in his work on the Zoological studies whilst part of the shore party.Edgeworth David, the leader of the South Magnetic Pole Party named 'Cape Roberts' upon Antarctica after William Charles Roberts during the expedition.

A Midwinter "Magic Moments" coffee service for six, designed by Jessie Tait Condition: 1 Teapot, 8 ins, lid has crazing, body in very good condition with no visible marks.1 Cream Jug, 3.5 ins to the top of the handle. Very good condition, no visible problems.1 Sugar Bowl, 2 ins to highest point, no visible problems.6 Tea Cups, 4 have crazing inside, 1 of which is very visible, outsides are in very good condition with no visible problems. 6 Saucers, 1 with crazing to painted surface and also a firing fault to underneath, 4 have firing faults underneath, 1 has crazing underneath but no firing faults. No scratching where cups would sit.6 Tea Plates, 3 with light surface scratching not affecting the design, 2 have some light crazing, 1 has crazing to the underneath. All have firing faults to the underneath.
