Ephemera relating to Louis Wain, including postcards, two early annuals, mounted prints and book plates CONDITION REPORT; Lois Wain's Annual 1913 (at left of photo): This is a softcover annual, there is quite a bit of scuffing, creasing and tearing to the front cover, with both the top right and bottom right corners of the annual being missing. There's also some damage to the cover under the title at the page edge (almost 3cm wide), where the top layer of the cover has come away, leaving the plain bottom layer visible. There's also more creasing and tearing along the front cover edge, including another tear of approx 2cm near the middle of the edge. There's also a small chunk missing out of the bottom of the back cover, along with other small creases and tears to its edges. The spine is deficient and there is foxing throughout the book as well as some staining at the page edges. There is also creasing and marking to a lot of the pages, along with a bit of tanning in places. All pastedown illustrations appear to be present, with a couple having creases. There are also one or two illustrations which have been coloured in (painted), as well as some of the text on the title page. There's also a little pencil writing to the front free endpaper at the top corner. Louis Wain's Annual 1921 (middle of photo): A hardback book, it shows some marking, scratchinf and scuffing toboth the front and back boards, as well as a little water spotting. The edges of the boards are quite shelfworn and dented and the cloth spine is quite marked and creased. The pages themselves are a little tanned and some are marked from the ink in the illustrations. The front pastedown endpaper has a sticker to its top left corner
