Three Albums, Two Small and One Very Large, All Original and from a One Family Collection containing many hundreds of cards with a theme based around the Essex area where the family originated from. Many printed cards of London, Colchester, Southend on Sea and Berkshire with many smaller towns in between along with Military Oillettes and other subjects. Better cards include Zeppelin Raid, Bury St. Edmunds, Southend Pier damaged by concrete boat in 1921 (2), Crawley Agrimotor Ltd. Of Saffron Walden, an agricultural company with their latest ploughing machine, Louis Wain (1) along with ranges of Naval cards, Novelty Pull-outs, Comic Patriotic, Trains etc. Further highlights include Ellam Teddies, Colchester Great Eastern Railway Station, Elephants bathing at Ilfracombe along with three views of beach groups and charabancs. The Sea frozen at Southend on Sea in January 1905 (4), Southend Tram in 1868, Wreck of the Cromer Express at Witham September 1st 1905 (12) printed by Fred Spalding, Photographic by Lankester, Glover’s Bros Motor and Cycle Works. Also a fine range of Real Photographic cards of Wallingford and area including Regatta on the River Thames, Proclamation of George V, St. Mary’s George Hotel many by Latter, a Wallingford Photographer. A horse Drawn Bakery Cart and three more Southend Pier Wreck cards along with a Steam Roller and Dunmow Station. In addition many more cards all generally in very good condition. A delight to view
