An 18ct gold bracelet by Gay Frères, circa 1971, designed as a series of stepped oval plaques each with a textured finish, accompanied by one additional link, maker’s mark, French assay marks, London import mark, length 17cm. £1,800-£2,200 --- The workshop of Gay Frères was created in 1835 by Jean-Pierre Gay and Gaspard Tissot in Geneva. They specialised in making chains for pocket watches and jewellery and by the beginning of the 20th century were supplying watch bracelets for the biggest Swiss watch companies. Rolex was an early client and Gay Frères produced stainless steel, gold and platinum bracelets for them. By the 1940s, they were supplying Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin, and soon also working for other watch makers including Audermars Piquet and Jaeger LeCoultre. By the 1970s, the company, still family owned, were running the largest factory in Geneva, employing over 500 specialist craftsmen. Gay Frères went on to create jewellery for the prestigious Parisian Maisons such as Hermès and Van Cleef & Arpels. They continue to be regarded as world specialists in handmade chains and watch bracelets, and still produce a new jewellery collection each year - including chain necklaces, bracelets, torques, cuffs and rings in a variety of gold finishes and textures. Their jewellery of the 1960s and 70s is particularly sought after. Condition Report Light surface wear. Overall very good condition. Gross weight including spare link 67.4gm.

The case is in sound original condition with some dust/grime build-up to the upper surfaces and slight degradation to the finish in places. The small gilt tab for lifting-out the front door glass is missing a tiny grub screw hence is loose however the tab is held-in place by the case when the glass is in position, and it still can be used to assist with the removal of the glass to access the dial.There is no outer case, packaging or paperwork with present timepiece. Condition Report Disclaimer

Despite the clock needing repair ( a new spring) and maintenance on the main mechanism it is a fine example of an Atmos clock.

Ref. 266.8.44, silver guilloche dial with Arabic numerals and gilt hands, silver guilloche and mother of pearl reverse dial with blue steel hands, manual wind movement signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, case reverse side with two rows of original set diamonds, signed Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso and numbered 1882412, original crown, case measures approx. 33mm by 21mm, blue leather Jaeger LeCoultre strap and stainless steel deployment clasp, original box.This is a ladies wristwatch.No missing diamonds.The case on bezels on both sides have dents and scratches all over.Currently running.

A Jaeger-LeCoultre four glass lacquered brass framed mantel clock with sixteen jewel movement, the chapter ring with Roman numerals 15.5 cm wide x 16.5 cm high x 6 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Does not appear to be working although the hands move when wound and the top fly wheel moves when shaken. Tarnishing to the brass as well as some small areas of pitting and surface scratching. The inside of the clock is dirty both on the glass and brass. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail.

A Jaeger-LeCoultre lamp post form clockthe circular face with Jaeger brand and a number 8, the black metal stem with a sign reading Rue De La PaixHeight 28cm, face diam. 4cmCondition: From the top of the post, the clock and upper section move a little to the left and to the right and will not tighten up. There is some wear to edges of the front of post and back. We cannot guarantee the movement, it appears to not be working.
