dating: early 20th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Dark cloth jacket with collar covered with black velvet with flashes and stars, cuffs covered with crimson cloth. Golden buttons with horn in relief featuring the marking of the Military Union. White silk lining. Signs of use, of time, some unstitching but apparently without moth holes. With cape provided with collar lined en suite with the jacket, in similar state of conservation. height jacket 77 cm.
dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Ethiopia, Curved blade with fuller featuring a long inscription in Amharic and the Negus face on the third side and a long band of racemes on the opposite side. Pitting and signs of time. Iron quillon of the shamshir type with straight buttoned quillons and langets. Horn grip, with metal wire binding, long white metal cap with lion's head. Without scabbard. length 88 cm.
dating: early 20th Century provenance: Ethiopia, Well preserved, wide blade with fuller and featuring long bands engraved on both sides; with racemes, a trophy, a British emblem and the mark 'FIRST CLASS CAST STEEL' on the left side, then with an inscription in Amharic, a mark at the tang. With other racemes and a trophy on the right side and another Amharic inscription at the tang. Horn hilt with silver cap engraved with spirals. Leather scabbard (damages, signs of use and age) complete with belt and silver chape worked en suite with the sabre. length 83 cm.
dating: hi-Momoyama Period (1573-1603) provenance: Japan, Beautiful hira-zukuri maru mune blade deserving a proper cleaning. Horimono: hi soe bi. Hamon: gunome midare nioi deki ko nie. Hada: mokume (itame not clearly visible). Boshi: komaru. Mei: Bishu Osafune Kyomitsu, Tensho Ju sannen (13th year, 8th month of a day, 1585). In later koshirae with gilt copper habaki Tsuka with menuki featuring remains of gilding, ancient silk tsuka-ito (damaged). Detached kashira. Wooden Saya with brown horn mounts and a kogai (blocked?). length 30,3 cm.
dating: i Period (1868-1912) provenance: Japan, The bow of typical asymmetrical shape, made of brown horn, richly painted in gold both on the borders and on the two faces. With effigies of Fenghuang (Hoo) on one side and Shishi lions on the opposite, alternating with flowers and leaves and connected by sinuous racemes. The attachment points of the string at the two edges (not present) are carved with an inome (boar's eye). The thick central grip is covered with leather sleeve (signs of use and time) featuring aiguilettes on the borders with remains of gilding.Parallelepiped quiver at the base, hedged with thick leather and with remains of golden paint at the border and featuring a sewn decortion (partially detached) pierced with an inome one one side. The entire structure to support the arrows consists of a single piece of horn (!) like the supporting hook.The quiver keeps nine original arrows (one without tip) with a square cusp and remains of golden plumage, enriched with golden spirals matching to the decorations of the bow. height bow 68,5 cm.
dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Cylindrical body made of black lacquered woven bamboo fibers. Featuring a beautiful Maruni chigai takanoha-mon (hawk feathers crossed inside a circle) in red. Wooden on the back and with brass fuse, complete with a wooden stopper held by a small aiguillette and with a small horn cusp. Belt hook at the rear (damage to the curved part) always of horn. Time: late Edo period, 19th century. Falconry was an art held in high regard among the bushi, especially by the ruling classes of the warrior caste. See 'MON the Japanese Family Crest' by Hawley / Chappelear, Hollywood, California 1976. At page 51 different variants of this Mon are reproduced, associated with the various families that used it. height 20,5 cm.
dating: 19th/20th Century provenance: Japan, One with antique same with small missing parts, blue-coloured tsuka-ito, menuki in relief with remains of gilding. Metal fuchi with finishing and gilded floral decorations, horn or wooden kashira. Probably late Edo period. One with iron fuchi-kashira, antique same, circular menuki and antique tsuka-ito. Probably period of the Satsuma rebellion. Finally a one-piece, metal tsuka for NCO shinguto, period: World War II. length 15,7 - 20,7 cm.
dating: 1840 circa provenance: Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Beautiful straight, two-edged blade, central groove at the first part with the inscription 'KISSING MOLLMANN' and the inscription 'A ISERLOHN' among very fine engravings with trophies and floral motifs on the other side. Bronze hilt, coat of arms with three lilies on flags on the shell-guard, rear valve, quillons and guard decorated with floral motifs. Pommel shaped as a head with plumed helmet. Spiral horn grip with metal wire binding. Leather scabbard with bronze mounts. length 94.5 cm.
dating: 1860 provenance: Naples, Curved, single-and-false-edged blade with large central fuller and thin groove on the back, finely engraved with floral motifs at the first part and signed on one side '1860 Napoli Labruna'; elegant bronze hilt with three loop guards, langets and long engraved cap. Spiral horn grip (lacking parts) with metal wire binding (small lacking parts). Iron scabbard with two rings on engraved bronze bands. Rare. length 101.5 cm.
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Corse, Single-and-false-edged blade, decorated with carved curl at the tang. The base with knots. Brass ring nut with leaf carving and shaping. Grip made of horn sectors alternated with lead discs and worked with longitudinal grooves and fluted decoration. Rounded brass cap. This model is photographed and described in 'Il Coltello Genovese' by A. Buti (Colombo Grafiche- Genoa, 2011) p. 324, L4. length 27,2 cm.
dating: late 17th Century provenance: Spain, Pressed and curved, cow-horn body, of medium size. Iron mounts. Iron hook with the base carved as a leave and fixed to the body with two screws. The hook pierced with a heart. Iron fuse (the spring is blocked) shaped as a truncated cone. The bottom made of cow-horn. length 28,5 cm.

Engraved with tiara on crossed keys, decorated with floral motifs, the inscription at the base has been removed on both sides, tang marked 'LOLLINI IN BOLOGNA'. French-style brass mount mod. 1845, partially pierced and engraved with floral motifs. Spiral-shaped horn grip (missing parts) with metal wire bindind. Iron scabbard with two brass bands and rings. length 96.5 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Germany, A smoothbore, 15.9 mm cal. barrel and a rifled, 15.3 mm cal. barrel, both octagonal. Joined by a thick parallelepiped rib with white metal foresight and fixed rear sight. At the back the gold signature 'F. MORGENROTH IN GERNRODE'. At the base gold frame. The breech with cornucopia engraving, the tang worked with floral motifs. High quality locks, with carved, engraved and shaped cocks depicting dragons (one with a small lack) enriched with gold elements. The lock-plates with the end carved as a boar's head with gold eyes and silver teeth. The signature 'F. MORGENROTH / IN GERNRODE' also in gold. Pistons with external safety lock. Half stock in briarwood. The muzzle carved as a hound's head with mother-of-pearl and horn eyes, the fore-end and the base with checkered segments rimmed with carved floral motifs. The left side of the butt side with relief decoration of a wild boar in the bush, the right side with a lidded patchbox also made of wood, carved in relief with an effigy of an owl and floral motifs; the central button made of bone and horn serves as a release. White metal mounts richly engraved with cynegetic scenes. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod and iron base for the cartridge extractor. F. Morgenroth is documented in Gernrode /Anhalt/Germany, from 1840 to 1850 (Der Neue Stöckel Vol. II, p. 830). length 116,8 cm.

PulverhornSchweiz (Basel?), Süddeutschland, 17. Jh. Flaschenkorpus aus gepresstem Kuhhorn mit schauseitig jagdlicher Gravur. Dargestellt ist ein Jäger mit Hunden bei der Hasenjagd, im Hintergrund eine Burg. Schütte aus gedrechseltem Horn. Wohl originales, fein geflochtenes Gehänge aus braunem Stoff mit drahtbewickelten Holzknebelchen. L 30 cm.
Säbel, KilicOsmanisches Reich, 17./18. Jh. Gefäss aus fein beschnitztem und poliertem, schwarzem Horn; terzseitig ein Riss im Knaufbereich. Nietköpfe und Seitenbleche aus Silber. Parierstange aus dunkel patiniertem Eisen mit aufgesteckten Kugelenden, eines davon frisch geklebt. Im Bereich des Mitteleisens beidseitig mit einem floralen Muster und Randlinien in Gold tauschiert. Bereichsweise korr. Rückenklinge mit Rückenspitze (L 75,5 cm) aus beriebenem Wootz mit terzseitig in Gold eingelegter, ungedeuteter Herstellerkartusche. Mit schwarzem Leder bezogene Holzscheide mit Ortband, zwei Ringbändern und Mundblech aus "barock" punziertem Siberblech. L 89 cm. Die Scheide deutet auf einen Fertigungszeitraum in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jh.; Klinge wohl 17. Jh. Aufgrund der Schrumpfung der Scheidenholzspäne kann die Klinge nicht mehr ganz eingesteckt werden.
Säbel, KilijOsmanisches Reich, 19. Jh. Gefäss mit Griffschalen aus poliertem Horn und kugelig gestaltetem Knaufstück; Seitenbleche mit sinusförmig verlaufenden Randleisten vergoldet. Die horizontal S-förmig geschwungene Parierstange aus Eisen ist flächig mit floralen Ranken und Blüten goldplattiert. Bereichsweise korr. Rückenklinge (L ca. 81,5 cm) mit Rückenspitze und keilförmigem Querschnitt aus erstklassig gebändertem Wootz (Sham). Die massive Klinge wurde offenbar aus einem einzelnen Wootzkönig geschmiedet, da im Rücken keine Naht zu erkennen ist. Die Stärke der Terzseite ist mit drei arabischen Inschriftenkartuschen und wohl einer Koransure aufwändig goldtauschiert. Die Quartseite ist zurückhaltender goldtauschiert mit einer Kartusche in deren Mitte sich ein Knotenmotiv befindet und mit einem sechsstrahligen Stern, um den konzentrisch floral segmentierte Kreise angeordnet sind. Holzscheide mit schwarzem Leder bezogen. Mundblech, Ringband und Ortband aus korr. Eisen sind en suite mit der Parierstange floral vergoldet. Das originale Gehänge aus blauem Textil mit Traghaken und vergoldeter Schnalle ist erhalten. L 97 cm.Es handelt sich hier um eine osmanische Waffe höchster Qualität, welche durch sachgemässe Restaurierung wesentlich gewinnen würde.

Wandung mit varierenden Ornament- , Buckel- und Rippenbordüren. Kartusche mit gravierter Widmung anlässlich des 25-jährigen Jubiläums der "Feuerversicherungsgesellschaft HELVETIA in St. Gallen 1888". Gemarkt 800M. H 39,5 cm, ca. 584 g.

Wahl) und Modell-Nr. 216, Entwurf JOHANN FRIEDRICH EBERLEIN (Dresden 1695-1749 Meissen) 1739, aus einer Serie verschiedener Jagdgruppen. Auf aufgewölbter Terrainplinthe mit Eichenlaubrand stehender Jäger mit Horn, zu seinen Füßen ein erlegter Hirsch und vier Hunde. Polychrome Staffage mit Goldakzentuierungen. H. 19 cm.
