* Zeppelin Relics. A fragment of rivetted framework mounted on a base with brass plaque engraved "Piece of Zeppelin L15 brought down in Thames Estuary April 1916"; and three napkin rings made from the tubular structure, each engraved Zeppelin L15. On March 31, 1916 Loachim Breithaupt, captain of L15 was attacked by the aeroplane flown by 2nd Lt. A. de Brandon using explosive darts (Brandon was flying a B.E.2C and took off from Hainault Farm in Essex). Badly damaged, but not burning, Breithaupt brought his Zeppelin down into the sea near Westgate, Kent. 17 crew members survived and were rescued by H.M.S. Vulture. L15 sank off Westgate, Breithaupt was interned at Donnington Hall until the Armistice. (4)

A heavy Greek bronze helmet of Illyrian type. Mediterranean area / Balkans,. first half of the 5th century B.C. Wrought in one piece with a rectangular opening for the face, on top of the bowl two parallel extruded ridges from back to front that serve as a base for an attachable crest (missing), the avantail small, long curved cheek flanks with high corner darts and pierced at the lower points for chin straps (small restorations to the bowl, cheek flanks and avantail), the border ornamented all around with struck motifs inside a frame or panel. H 20 cm = 7.9 in, W 1,747 g. The surface in fine dark-green to red patina, humus encrustations on the inside. Cfr. €9,000.00
Two Ottoman silver bowls, Turkey, circa 18th/19th century, the first of broad rounded form with a central raised boss decorated in repousse with a star and crescent motif within a band of radiating darts, with further bands of radiating panels alternately decorated with floral motifs, diameter 22.5cm., 9in.; the other of deep circular form with a broad central boss, decorated in repousse with floral motifs on a punched ground, diameter 22.5cm., 9in.
