Clarice Cliff, 'Orange Chintz' pattern fern pot, Fantasque backstamp, 9cm high.Condition report:There is a fine hairline running down the wall of the pot, more easily spotted to the interior wall as on the exterior it travels under the glazes. You can just see the end on a brown flowerhead where there is a cluster of small glaze scratches. The interior wall also has a defect in the firing with a small irregularity on the surface. Elsewhere minor surface scathing and marks to the exterior glazes.
A GROUP OF CLARICE CLIFF CERAMICS, comprising Clarice Cliff for Newport Pottery biscuit barrel and preserve pot in the Waterlily pattern, together with three pieces of a Bizarre Delecia bowl (3) (Condition Report: all pieces have condition issues, biscuit barrel has extensive repairs to the body of the piece, lid appears ok, preserve pot has been broken almost in half and repaired, its lid has a chip and a hairline crack, the bowl is in three pieces which do fit together to form the majority of the original bowl, it also has a hairline crack)
A GROUP OF CLARICE CLIFF CELTIC WARE, comprising a 'Celtic Harvest' biscuit barrel and two preserve pots, each moulded and painted with fruits and wheatsheaves on a textured cream ground, with plated covers, and printed green backstamps reading 'Celtic Harvest, Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery Co, England', together with a 'Celtic Leaf and Berry' preserve pot, with plated cover and spoon, having an A J Wilkinson Ltd/Royal Staffordshire Pottery backstamp (4) (Condition Report: most pieces appear in good condition, one Celtic Harvest preserve pot has a stained hairline and chips to the inner rim, all other pieces have light crazing and a little wear)
