Clarice Cliff - Peter Pan or Awakening Crocus - A Stamford shape early morning breakfast set circa 1930 comprising teapot, milk, sugar, two cups and two saucers, all hand painted with Crocus sprays between orange banding, over decorated with a black transfer of a tree in silhouette with rabbits to each of the saucers.
Clarice Cliff - Gibraltar - A Conical shape tea cup and matched saucer circa 1932, hand painted with three sailing boats to a coastal landscape with yellow banding, together with a matched green and blue banded saucer and an additional Conical cup hand painted in the Secrets pattern. (3) Provenance - Bonhams - Ceramic Design from 1860 - 26th September 2008 - Lot 401
Clarice Cliff - Applique Etna - An 18 inch ribbed charger circa 1930, hand painted with a stylised landscape with trees to the foreground and a mountain below a deep orange sky with black and orange banding, partial Bizarre mark to the reverse. NB - This is only the second known example of an Applique Etna charger to come to market, the first being sold by Fieldings Auctioneers in March 2024 for a hammer price of £18,500.
Clarice Cliff - Farmhouse - A very large Conical coffee cup and saucer circa 1931, the body hand painted with a stylised cottage amongst bushes with orange banding with a matched black, yellow and orange banded saucer, Bizarre mark. N.B - This appears to be a prototype as the body of the Conical cup is made from a size 2 3/4 jam pot base with a large conical tea cup handle. This is the first example of this size of Conical coffee cup seen on the market.
