Peacocks rare Cubby vintage teddy bear, British, 1930s, cinnamon and beige alpaca, red embroidered label to inner right leg- PEACOCKS BRITISH TOYS LONDON, amber and black glass eyes, black vertically stitched nose, jointed at neck and shoulders, felt pads with black claw stitching, in seated position, inoperative press squeaker, alpaca is thinning- to rear of head, back of neck, top of left leg, front of chest, otherwise Excellent to Excellent Plus, 9"/23cm. NB: This Cubby teddy bear is exceedingly rare with its Peacocks label (usually found with The Chad Valley label). Chad Valley purchased Peacock & Co in 1931, and it is known that they produced a range of bears with the new Peacocks label (this is very similar in design and colour to the Chad Valley labels of this era).

A BOXED CHAD VALLEY TINPLATE CLOCKWORK BUFFET CAR, No.10134, blue and cream lithographed livery with red lettering, side hatch on body reluctant to open, complete with key, motor works, lightly play worn condition with minor paint loss and wear (mainly around hatch handle and key hole, tarnishing to radiator and bumper, box missing flaps from one end and has other damage and wear, box originally for clockwork Double Decker Bus but has had Buffet Car labels stuck on top, with two Wells plastic clockwork Cinderella and Prince Charming Waltzing figures, both with keys (one possibly not original), both in working order, one in fairly good condition, on the other Prince Charming has broken off at the ankles and is loose, also has paint loss and wear, with one box which is missing all flaps and has other damage and wear, with a small quantity of assorted play worn cast lead figures, Britains, John Hill & Co. etc.

Marx and Johnny 7 Toys (1) Marx Toys (Hong Kong) battery operated "Traffic Light" - plastic traffic light mounted on control box with "Walk & Don't Walk" illuminated signs, with red, amber and green 4-faced lamp, includes operating instructions - an Excellent ex shop stock example in a Good illustrated box, the lamp post is 8.5"/22cm high, also included (2) Johnny 7 (UK) "Phone Set" - comprising 2 x plastic hand sets which are red, with connecting wire, unchecked for completeness but appear Fair scarce items and come in a Good illustrated box. Also in this lot is a Chad Valley Hoovermatic Washing Machine - tinplate, manual control for washing and spin drying, lacks compartment covers otherwise a Good example of the Hoovermatic circa 1960 and comes in a Fair cardboard box, 10"/25cm long. Wells Brimtoy and Chad Valley British clockwork toys circa 1950 (1) bright plated plastic Morris Minor promotional model, some wear to the plating and (2) Chad Valley tinplate clockwork O Gauge 4-wheeled Steam Locomotive with brake, together with a 4-wheeled Open Wagon - both are in working order and each has a key - Fair to Good. Burnett (Chad Valley UK) tinplate clockwork "Flying Scotsman" O Gauge Locomotive and Tender, built from a nut and bolt kit from that company's Ubilda Series of Locomotives - this is the first such example Vectis have had and is believed to be the rarest locomotive in the Ubilda range, engine and tender are finished in LNER apple green livery and numbered 4472. The model is fitted with handrails and buffers and still retains the gold coloured tin containing a key and spanner, the motor being in working order driving the rear driving wheels, some light age related wear but overall a Good Plus example, 18"/46cm long and comes in a Fair card box with a Good illustration to the lid.
