A Lady's 18 ct Yellow Gold Open Faced Pocket Watch, circular white enamel dial with black Roman chapters and gold spade hands. The case with floral engine turned design and cartouche engraved AB, the interior inscribed 'Time Waits for No Man' dated 1895, Chester hallmark with a further Newcastle hallmark, dated 1894. The pocket watch is suspended from a 9ct gold fob chain Birmingham hallmark, mm CDS, approx 33.3 gms, the watch approx 54 gms. The pocket watch contained in the original retailers box H.L Brown Jewellers to Her Royal Highness Duchess of Teck and Princess Mary and By Appointment to his Grace Duke of Norfolk.
ENGLISH SCHOOL, 18th century A half-length portrait study, apparently of the poet John Gay (1685-1732), painted in classical style oval cartouche on a plinth bearing the inscription "John Gay, Poet, 1712", oil on canvas, 14.25" x 12" and the companion portrait of an unidentified gentleman (2).
A fine and heavy-hallmarked rectangular silver Cigarette Box, the interior fully lined with cedar and the hinged lid with vacant rectangular cartouche and engine-turned decoration above a Celtic style border raised in relief, makers mark B.S. Ltd., Birmingham assay marks, 17cm wide (weighted) CONDITION REPORT: Very good original condition overall with no major problems noted there is a very very slight kink to the rear right hand side bottom where the box sits on the table - very small and hardly noticeable. Otherwise the box appears to be in perfect original untouched condition. There is some remnants of old cleaning fluid on the underside of the base which will clean off with a little water.
A hallmarked silver oval table Snuff Box, central oval vacant cartouche surrounded by a profusion of foliate-style engraving, makers mark W.N., assayed Birmingham 1873, 8cm wide, approx. 73.4g CONDITION REPORT: Overall it appears quite dirty, the cartouche is vacant and un-engraved, there are one or two very minor small dings around the edge of the circular box at the widest point, the lid seems to lock very tightly and there is some minor surface scratching upon close inspection. The inside is also quite dark and you can see where the lip of the internal spring was affixed, see images.
A mid-18th century George II period dome-topped lidded silver Tankard later decorated in repoussé style with 'C' scrolls and foliate style ornament, vacant cartouche, pierced thumbpiece and gilded interior, now slightly lipped for use as a jug, the large scrolling handle above slightly spreading circular foot decorated with a Guilloche band, makers mark IS, assayed Newcastle 1757 (21cm high and approx. 882g) together with original John Bennett letterhead detailing the purchase in September 1952 and citing Newcastle assay in 1757
A rare mid-17th century hallmarked silver lidded Tankard of round straight sided section and having a cast scallop shell and mask thumbpiece, gilded interior and with false bottom, the central cartouche engraved with a Bacchanalian style scene, scrolling handle leading to a band in relief above a slightly spreading circular foot, engraved inscription to underside to J.F. Brocklehurst, Royal Horse Guards Feb. 23. 1878 from The Sheriff, makers mark of Heinrich Friederichs (Hamburg), circa 1640, sold together with original S.J. Phillips purchase invoice for June 1952 in the sum of £110 and also with later (April 1970) Mappin & Webb Limited valuation for insurance CONDITION REPORT: Although we are not silver experts we think that the engraving to the tankard could well be contemporary with the date in which it was made. We have shown it to dealers/experts who also consider that the engraving may be original but we cannot guarantee this. There is some minor pitting to the gilded interior at the bottom, some tarnish and discolouration and at the bottom end of the handle where it kicks out there is a shield shaped piece engraved with a small armorial and the piece itself is very slightly bent, the circular edge of the foot also has a slight kink, otherwise the piece appears to be in reasonable overall order and condition for age. Size is 21.5cm high (to tip of thumbpiece) x 12cm diameter widest part of the width on the bottom of the foot.This darker area is a white metal stud that is in relief in the inside of the Tankard and if you look on the outside of the Tankard where it starts from there is an exotic bird perched on a cresting and the stud appears to start through the birds head and continues to the inside of the Tankard. Total weight 572.5g

A large and fine hand knotted Persian Heriz carpet, circa 1900 (area of Heris, East Azerbaijan, Northwest Persia), central flower head design within a cobalt blue lozenge further against a red ground and large beige cream and rose coloured spandrels, the large blue border decorated with stylised flower heads of varying colours, approx. 617cm long x 349cm wide CONDITION REPORT: There are some minor pieces to the rug (see images). There is a 8/9” piece of reparations to one side of the central flower shaped cream framed cartouche and several other small areas scattered around the carpet. Overall in good condition and shows quite well.
