Assayed for Birmingham 1900 with makers initials "WJD". The Primitives were a faction of the Methodist movement founded by John Wesley. One of the prominent Primitive locations was Hessle Road, Hull. Very good condition. Measures 4cm in length. 2. Silver & enamel Hull & District Cricket Council Championship 1901. 3. A central enamel cartouche depicting a cricketer holding a bat and enamel scroll with "Hessle Rd Primitives CC". The reverse is engraved 1st XI Season 1900 J W Cawkill Batting Average". Assayed for Birmingham 1900 with makers initials "WJD". The Primitives were a faction of the Methodist movement founded by John Wesley. One of the prominent Primitive locations was Hessle Road, Hull. Excellent condition and in original box. Measures 4cm in length. 4. Rare silver and enamel medal for the 2nd XI League 1895 won by "Congos" (Congretional Church) Second and awarded to J W Cawkill. A super condition medal featuring crossed bats, stumps and ball. Likely to have been from the Hull area. In very good condition. Hallmarked with the lion, letter date "b" and the anchor. Makers initials "B.H.J." 5. Silver, dark blue enamel and rose gold medal for the Hull and District Cricket Council awarded to J.W. Cawkill in 1904. Crossed cricket bats to the front in rose gold and crest in silver set in enamel.

dating: First half of the 20th Century provenance: Turkey, Strong and elegant, curved, single-edged blade in finest damask wootz, with flat facets, a cartouche at the forte on the right side, chiselled with Arabic inscriptions and hemmed with gilded frame. Silver hilt, with Turkish type mounting, cross-quillon with langets, an engraved rosette in the center, quillons with raisers, ending in faceted cusps. Central band of the grip in silver, decorated with flowers and leaves in relief. Brown horn grip scales with very big pommel, curved on one side and provided with a small, central hole, hemmed in silver. Fine scabbard, completely covered with silver foil, decorated in bass-relief with floral motifs, flag trophies and rocaille on both facets. The two bands, in silver as well, with relieved flowers and dotted ground, both provided with an articulated and cusped loop. length 96 cm.

dating: 19th Century provenance: Arabia, Wide, curved, single-and short false-edged blade, with a large, central fuller and one more thin next to the back, with remains of cartouche on both facets at the forte, inlaid in koftgari gold, signed with Arabic characters. Base of the back with gold inlays. Fine, silver hilt, arms curved downwards and decorated with filigree rosette at the quillon block; short langets. Silver beak-grip, adorned with geometrical and floral drawings in filigree. Guard with triple chain. Wooden scabbard, covered with central segment with green velvet (whitened and partially worn), with silver foil. Long, silver cap, decorated with frames and filigree rings, front part with a star and crescent in relief and other floral drawings, provided with three lugs. Silver chape, decorated on the front part so as the cap. length 90,3 cm.

Six-shot cylinder, chiselled with rinceaux and braided bands, in relief as well on a gilded ground. Hammer carved en suite. Engraved and chiselled frame, with effigy of dragons and a bird. Remains of Lefaucheux patent marking on the trigger. Serial number 'LF19xxx'. Ebony grip scales, chiselled with wine grapes. Folding trigger and extractor. length 20,3 cm.

Engraved with leaves alongside of the rib. Rear sight notch. Barrel's base elegantly chiselled and engraved with rinceaux, relieved on a grained ground. Six-shot cylinder, with cartouche engraved as the barrel and stamp 'AF', further to the Liege test-bed stamp. Frame engraved and chiselled en suite. Ebony, checkered grip scales. Ring for a strap. In a wooden case, with internal lining in red velvet. Complete with a key, two tools and box with vintage inert pin bullets (deactivated and perforated). length 26 cm.

Wear to plating on the hilt and some wire binding is lacking. 2 - Rust pitting to blade. Split to right side of grip below pommel.

A 19th Century Spanish Court Sword, the 78cm double edge steel blade etched at the ricasso with the Spanish Coat of Arms and inscribed FABRICA DE TOLEDO.1867., the richly cast gilt brass stirrup hilt with male caryatid knuckle bow entwined with a snake, with small single shell guard, the grip with the Spanish Coat of Arms and reeding, with crown pommel, the stitched leather scabbard with gilt brass chape and foliate diaper engraved locket with foliate cartouche cast frog stud, 95cm. Blade with areas of black patching and minor pitting. Hilt in good condition. Scabbard with minor bruising to surface of the leather and wear to the gilt mounts.
