Dunnet Head (Scottish Gaelic: Ceann Dùnaid) is a peninsula in Caithness, on the north coast of Scotland. Dunnet Head includes the most northerly point of both mainland Scotland and the island of Great Britain.Note: Jolomo remains one of Scotland's most celebrated contemporary artists. In The Scottish Contemporary Art Auction of 13th December 2020, lot 717 "Birlinn Leaving the Uists" by Jolomo sold for £7000 (hammer) and on 20th June 2021 lot 641 "Nick's Tug at Crinan" achieved £6000 (hammer). In our August 2021 auction, "Portnahaven, Islay" sold for £6000 (hammer). These being just three of numerous recent auction prices which reflect the strong and ever-growing collector demand from both the UK and abroad for the vibrant work of John Lowrie Morrison. A later 20th Century William Manson for Caithness glass paperweight of domed form with facet cut top, in the Rose and Ladybird pattern, internally decorated with a small stylised ladybird over a lamp work pink flower and bud, all over a translucent blue ground and cased in clear crystal, scratch signed and numbered 60/250 to the base, diameter 7.5cm.
A later 20th Century William Manson for Caithness glass paperweight, in the Winter Flower pattern, internally decorated with a central pink flower with an outer ring of millefiori canes all over a white ground with facet cut sides and top, acid mark to the base, numbered 312/500, complete with certificate of authenticity, diameter 6.5cm.
A 20th Century William Manson for Caithness glass paperweight, in the Primroses (style 2) pattern, of domed form, internally decorated with two large stylised purple flower heads, surrounded by a ring of purple and white millefiori canes, all over a translucent green ground, signature mark to the interior, acid mark to the base, No. 39/250, complete with Certificate of Authenticity, diameter 8cm.
A later 20th Century William Manson for Caithness glass paperweight of domed form with facet cut sides and top, in the Nature Study pattern, internally decorated with a small stylised ladybird and caterpillar over three lamp work flowers in pink, pale blue and lilac, all over an amethyst ground and cased in clear crystal, acid mark and numbered 32/200 to the base, diameter 7cm.
