An 18th century carved oak three tier buffet, the base with plinth carved with foliate design and ribbed edging; upon two ornate carved supports to front with pair of griffins and central devil or masked mythical figure head, these supports holding up a thicker plinth / tier, with matching edging and gadrooned sides, with four elaborate acanthus leave designed pillars on square bases, these holding the third tier plinth with scrolled edging and carved border; the top back carved with classical design of a female head and two lion masks each side with central carved flower, surrounded by scrolls and banner effect design, other panel to lower section with central oval flower motif and surrounding scrolls, overall approx. 146cm high x 130.8cm wide x 46cm deep. Condition: in two parts so top section and central tier removes from lower back panel and ornate supports; some chips, nibbles to edges; some splits to lower tier; scratching and wear commensurate with age.
