An Excellent Zeiss Ikon Voigtlander Hologon Ultrawide Camera Set, 1970-72, black, serial no. P76403, with Carl Zeiss Hologon f/8 15mm lens, black, serial no. 5098716, body VG-E, shutter working, lens VG, some light internal haze, complete with a pistol grip, cable release, instructions, centre filter in case, two camera straps, all in maker's fitted case, together with the original guarantee, three sets of instructions, original brochure, & two bags of Zeiss Ikon data-strips, in addition, there is correspondence from the original sales letter sent out by Johnsons of Hendon, their reply to an information request memo dated 17th March 1970 with corresponding Zeiss Ikon price list, & a later letter confirming the current price before this camera was purchased dated 24th October 1972, overall an excellent & complete example
‘The Po is waiting for you’ (1945) Second World War Propaganda leaflet, double sided and presented like a tourist brochure, leaflet carrying the text ‘The Po is waiting for you’ shows on front a colourful scene of the Italian countryside on either side of the Po River, with the towns of Cremona, Brescia, Mantova, Verona, Padova, Rovigo, Modena and Ferrara, and in the right foreground a smiling young woman holding a large basket of grapes and oranges, whilst the reverse shows a black and white illustration of a laughing skeleton wading in the Po River with a wrecked bridge in the background, and soldiers on boats being attacked and killed by enemy shell fire. The leaflet a warning for allied troops on what was waiting for them if they tried to cross the Po river. Leaflet dropped by German Forces on 8th Indian Infantry division. 20cm x 29cm (folded in four).

MOTORING INTEREST - A rare Ferrari F50 brochure with red Kevlar covers, with chrome Prancing Horse badge. Factory Nr 1002/95 with English and Italian text. This is one of the 1st printings numbered 0470 with real Kevlar covers, originally designed to go with the car, later editions issued in cardboard covers. Near new condition.

AN IMPROVED COMPOUND MICROSCOPE OF PHILIP CARPENTER, CIRCA 1820Constructed in lacquered brass and signed and inscribed on the 6in. tube as per title, contained in a fitted box of issue, with removable velvet lining containing original users pamphlet by Carpenter, with owner's name inscribed A.W. Giles, and reversible card eye shade, with accessories including six nose pieces, Lieberkuhn reflector, candle holder, and six bone and wood specimen sliders, --15½in. (39.5cm.) wideDr. Mill notes: Philip Carpenter is best known for his "Microcosm" a theatre in Regents Street where he gave public performances of a large solar microscope from 1826; he also supplied a range of scientific instruments. This microscope is his 'Improved Compound Microscope'. The tripod feet swivel together and fold flat for packing into the case. This is particularly attractive - of polished mahogany and brass lined with blue velvet. The velvet pad in the lid lifts out to reveal a cardboard eye shade. A complete set of 6 button lenses is present and there is a single fixed eyepiece. A lift-out tray holds the lenses, a Lieberkuhn, a brass box of mica discs and clips, a further box for gum, a specimen tube, a clip for making slides. Below the tray are six bone specimen sliders, two wood sliders, six wooden opaque sliders. Interestingly there is a 'mystery object' - a candle holder.A small brochure gives detailed instructions -"much easier to manage than any other compound Microscope in use." In the back of the brochure are hand written lists of the specimens supplied. The proud owner has signed the cover neatly 'A. W. Giles'ref: Turner "Great Age of the Microscope" (1988) p 72-3. Fine overall condition. Some components are missings.
Original vintage advertising foldout brochure poster for the Salvador Dali exhibition from 15 June to 23 July 1967 featuring an illustration of an eye in diamonds with a clock face and the iconic moustache, the reverse features an article and photographs of some of the artist's works. Fair condition, staining, tape marks, folds, creasing, tears on edges, restored paper loss on top right corner with tape, double sided. Country of issue: Czech, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 97x67, year of printing: 1967.
