A late 19th century octagonal amboyna veneered centre table, in the French taste, the top with bone stringing and ebony banding, the frieze with porcelain plaques surrounded by ormolu mounts, raised on turned and fluted supports, raised on a platform base and standing on shaped legs, 75cm high, 105cm in diameter
A late Victorian silver plated hot water jug with stiff leaf decoration; together with a Georgian style silver plated tea pot with bone handle, tankard with engraved monogram, mustard pot and cover, together with a silver mounted cut glass dressing table pot. (5) CONDITION REPORT: Silver plate, each piece rubbed to a certain amount with base metal showing through.
An '1894' pair of Shibayama worked opera glasses with two whist markers, the ivory barrels of the glasses decorated with cranes and flowers, one aluminium barrel dated, the bone markers to the gold lacquered wood bodies inlaid with insects and birds (3) One aluminium section is lacking from the opera glasses and one body of a crane is missing from the inlay. λ A George IV simulated tortoiseshell work box, the divided interior with a needle case, a bone thimble and a lidded compartment with a coloured engraving of a lake scene to the inside of the lid, on brass claw and ball feet, the based lined with marbled paper and inscribed in pen 'Anne Stansfield Junr, given to her by her Aunt Rawdon July 1829', 7.5cm high, 19.1cm wide, 12.9cm deep. Provenance: The Dr Lawrie Webster Collection of Boxes.

λ A late Victorian rhinoceros horn lady's riding crop, the embossed silver handle by W S, Birmingham 1882, 58.5cm long, together with another rhinoceros horn lady's riding whip with an antler handler and silver ferrule stamped 'BRIGG' with initials 'J.H.T.', 63.7cm long. (2) Lot 521 – riding crops, antler handle: the tip of the handle with some insect holes to the bone. The silver is tarnished and a little dented. Minor nicks and hairlines where the horn meets the ferrule. The leather tip a little frayed. The ferrule and handle a little loose. The silver handled example, the silver is tarnished and a little dented with some surface marks. The handle is slightly loose, a little play. The horn is a little warped and the tip has an old worn-over minor chip.
A Corsican Vendetta knife, the blade etched 'Vendetta Corsa,' and 'che la mia ferita sia mortale,' may the wound be fatal, with decorated bone scales, 32.2cm long open, a similar larger knife marked 'Corsic' on the bone scales, 52cm long open and a French folding knife, the embossed brass scales with Napoleon, 17.5cm long open. A George III mahogany bowfront standing corner cupboard, inlaid with boxwood stringing, the frieze with marquetry paterae inlaid with a conch shell and urns of flowers, above a pair of panelled doors enclosing an arched interior with three shelves and two spice drawers, above two further doors with bone escutcheons, 222cm high, 89.5cm wide, 50.5cm deep. Provenance: Sir Henry Russell Hornby, Bt, (1888-1971), 2nd Baronet of Brookhouse, of Barraclough, Clitheroe, Lancashire and thence by descent.
