A Japanese leather and white metal purse, circa 1900The black leather coin and spectacle sections adorned with white metal and gilt floral hinged sections and carved bone netsuke. CONDITION REPORT: Netsuke generally tarnished, two minor splits opposing. Purse and spectacle case in good condition. Only very minor wear to inside of the purse, white metal staps only lightly tarnished.
A stunning 18th century walnut cased eight day long case clock by John Hauksbee, LondonThe hood with a moulded cornice above two blind fret work panels and two conforming arched fret work side panels, the twelve inch brass break arch dial flanked by three quarter turned columns, the break arch panel centred with a silvered roundel engraved with the maker's name and flanked by two sea serpent appliques above the silvered bezel painted with Roman and Arabic numerals embraced by openwork gilt metal spandrels, each centred with a mask, the dial with a subsidiary second dial and date aperture and an eight day movement striking on a saucer bell, the case with a rectangular moulded door with herring bone and outer crossbanding enclosing a beautifully walnut veneered panel, the lower panel with similar veneer and crossbanding, raised upon a plinth base with two weights, pendulum and clock key, 224cm high. Provenance the Robinson collection. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 597 - Working condition unknown, although we removed the clock from property Appears to have been well maintained, inactive worm and restoration to rear of hood structure, movement clean and well maintained, replaced movement, board and supports, hinges and lock replaced on door, generally good condition although some signs of restoration.

CHARLES BONE (1809-1880) BRITISH A SUPERB OVAL MINIATURE ON IVORY by CHARLES BONE (1809-1880) of a lady wearing blue dress, with a gold necklace. This miniature is signed Charles Bone. Note: Charles Bone, son of Henry Pierce Bone, exhibited at the Royal Academy 1828 aged 19. He was awarded a silver medal for a portrait miniature in 1825 by the Society of Arts. Bone also exhibited at the R.A., B.I., and S.B.A. 1826-1848. He was influenced by Richard Cosway and T. Lawrence. He signed his miniatures 'C.R. Bone' parallel to the edge of his work. Two miniatures by Charles Bone were in the O'Brien collection. He died in 1880.
