This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Jeffery between 1966 and 1973. This set includes hundreds of pages with references to Jimi Hendrix, The Animals, Eire Apparent, Bob Dylan, Sound City, Drum City Ltd. and Cat Mother, and a letter discussing the difficulty in finding a flat for Hendrix as a man of colour in the music business. Most of the paperwork comes in three binders and exhibits general signs of age, discolouration and marks. JIMI HENDRIX - The Rockarchive Collection: Limited Edition Print by Colin N. Purvor, Astoria London, 1967 - A limited edition fine art photographic print featuring an image of Jimi Hendrix taken by photographer Colin N. Purvor before his performance at the Astoria in London in 1967. This lot is part of the Rockarchive Collection.This giclee print is from a limited edition of 30 and shows Hendrix looking at the sheet music for "Blonde on Blonde" by Bob Dylan which belonged to Purvor. Hendrix asked if he could borrow the sheet music and became engrossed affirming his appreciation for Dylan's music. This photo was taken before Hendrix recorded his famous cover of Dylan's song "All Along The Watchtower". The original negative was heavily water damaged but was digitally restored by the Rockarchive team in 2014. The image is printed on archival 310gsm cotton-based rag paper, hand-numbered "15/30," and is signed by Purvor in black ink.
