Robot Wars Matilda, built with the original robot shell made by the BBC's Special Effects Department and used in the first four series of the show. When a new version of Matilda was built with better features for the more recent shows she was acquired by Alan and David Gribble when they were competing as part of the Cold Fusion team with their robot Pussycat. Matilda has since been on tour around the country appearing in special events and competing as one of the house robots in the Roaming Robots tour. Since the death of both Alan and David Gribble Matilda has been in storage and has now been consigned for sale by Ann Gribble who also competed in series 2 of Robot Wars Extreme
Rosko/ Nomura (Japan) Astronaut Robot: tinplate battery operated example with battery compartment to each leg, antenna (one missing), oxygen tanks to rear, rubber arms, walkie talkie, clear plastic visor and human face. Height 33cm. Overall appears G+ with clean battery compartments, slight cracking to visor.
