Watt, Ronnie Helderberg Death Flight SA 295 8vo This book comprises the official SA Government investigation into the Helderberg plane crash of 28 November 1987, on which 30 Chinese, 47 Japanese, 43 South Africans, 19 flight crew, and 21 other foreign nationals, perished. The subsequent `search and rescue`, then turned `search and recovery`, as well as inquiry, was of a magnitude unparalleled in the history of aviation, after which no firm conclusions were reached as to the cause. The book is well laid-out, with excellent colour photographs of the search and recovery mission, as well as additional charts, diagrams, recovered items, and related biographical accounts; 100pp. Condition of book: laminated pictorial boards are in good condition, corners bumped, and with a slghtly faded spine. The plastic lamination covering the boards has, however, creased significantly, affecting both front and back. The contents are in very good condition, with a little light foxing to the end-papers, and the binding is in very good condition. Now a very elusive volume. very good (lamination creased) Halfway House Southern Book Publishers 1990 Reserve: $50 Click here to view further details and to bid
