CONDITION REPORT The vase has overall age-related wear in the form of some areas of slight discolouration, but the general overall condition appears to be good. The colours and the gilding are bright and clear. There is one area of repair to the base of one of the panels - it appears as though there was a hole in the vase, which has been repaired with the sympathetic Japanese kintsugi method of using gold paint to enhance the piece and as a philosophy treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
