A Charlotte Rhead for Bursley Ware lamp base, modelled as a ginger jar decorated with tube lined detailing, 14cm high, with four pieces of Zsolnay Pecs, to include; a basket, a handled shallow bowl, two shallow dishes, with a pair of florally encrusted early 20th century wall pockets (7) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: The Zsonlay basket has a chip to the handle. The handle has been broken into three sections and glued back together. Crazed throughout. The circular dish has a hair line crack to the handle, rubbing to the gilding and crazed throughout. The kidney shaped dish has lost most of its gilding and is heavily crazed. The smaller shaped dish is in poor condition. (At fault)
An Art Deco Zsolnay Pecs figurine, modelled as a female nude in kneeling pose with her hand clasped behind her head, on an oval base, with iridescent green, gold and copper coloured eosin glaze, marked faintly to base 'Zsolnay Pecs Made in Hungary, 12 by 8 by 23cm high.Provenance: From the deceased Estate of Peter Boizot MBE (1929-2018), the founder of Pizza Express and previous owner of Peterborough Football Club, The Great Northern Hotel and The Broadway Theatre, who was born and died in Peterborough. He was well known as an engaging and cordial host, a great philanthropist and as a lover of jazz, hockey and of course pizza.
ZSOLNAY PECS; a near pair of white ground baluster vases with multicoloured floral decoration, both with impressed mark and no. 462 and further printed marks to bases, both drilled for conversion to table lamps, height of slightly taller approx 36cm (both af). Additional InformationBoth have been drilled to bases for conversion to table lamps as stated, both heavily crazed throughout, one with heavily stained area to lower section above base, some inconsistency to the transfer of the floral decoration, light surface wear.
Zsolnay Pecs - a pottery oil lamp base, of bulbous upper and lower form, with pierced scroll handles, typically underglaze floral stylised and bright colour decorated, housed on integral cast metal circular masked base, h.34cm. We are unable to remove the base to see backstamp, but we are as certain as we can be that it is Zsolnay Pecs.Metal liner is fixed, tarnished and has minor splits to edges.Gilding heavily worn throughout.Reticulated areas with some firing cracks / blemishes.Slightly darkened discolouration to one side of upper area.Applied metal base is good.Finely crazed throughout.
A pair of 19th century Aesthetic movement breakfast cups and saucers, possibly Zsolnay. decorated in coloured enamels with Oriental flowers under gilt borders and the handle of each modelled in the form of a China man. Saucers 15cm diameter.Condition report intended as a guide only.Both handles with old lead repairs. One cup cracked and heavily crazed. One saucer with surface wear.
