A Zsolnay 'Pecs' plaque. Diameter 36.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The plaque is in generally extremely good condition. We cannot see any sign of any repairs or restoration. There are no chips. There is some crazing to the glaze in places but this is only really visible under magnification. There is a feint what appears to be a surface glaze hairline type mark running vertically and behind the top point of the helmet down the neck to the green material around the neck. This is not visible at the rear of the plate and is therefore simply in the glaze. Looking at the plate from the rear there is again a semi circular what appears to be a surface glaze hairline running from the foot rim around to the rim. Again this is not visible on the decorated side of the plate and is likely therefore to be simply in the glazed finish. The plate does have a wire plate hanger but this does not appear to have caused any damage. The gilt edge to the rim is rubbed in places as well as in the main pattern of the plate.
