A group of Wemyss ware jars, decorated with various fruit, together with a spare jar lid and four stands, the largest jar 15.5cm highAll with dark staining and craquelure. One of the smaller jars broken and reglued. One stand with a large section missing from the rim. Further chips to the rims of the stamds. Some marked beneath 'The Tea Good & Co London' and also impressed 'Wemyss'. The rose hip jar with surface chips tp the glaze around the rim, also small chip and associated crack down from the rim, crazing to the glaze overall especially the inside and darkly stained. The lid similarly stained. A small chip to the foot. Generally poor condition.

In the Wemyss Ware book, by Davis and Rankine, on page 47 there is a circa 1920s photograph from a Robert Heron & Son catalogue which incudes in the photograph and 'Grapes' bread and butter plate. Page 114, plate 234 in the same book illustrates a 'Purple Grapes' bread and butter plate. In the Bellamy Collection book, page 91, a preserve jar painted with purple and green grapes, bears a note that this is a rare design, the only example seen by Bellamy.
