In the book 'The Picture House', both Gerald and Cliff Somers are pictured filming the fighters sparring, with Cliff using the same Newman & Sinclair camera for sale in this lot. Another notable highlight of Cliff Somers' career was in 1958, as part of the BBC News crew sent to Coniston Water to film Donald Campbell's fatal attempt to break the world speed record in 'Bluebird', albeit with a different camera.Condition Report: The camera is in good condition, with signs of use commensurate with age. The lens has some fungus present and the cases bear scuffs and scrapes.
