Triang 200 Series Tipper Lorry with steering c.1952 - scarce example formerly on display in the Chester Toy Museum comprising a light green cab and chassis, with solid steering wheel, red tipping body and pressed steel hubs with thick rubber tyres, includes both securing chains to rear. Unusually this example is factory fitted with a system of hinged rods and a pedal car steering wheel; to enable the vehicle to be propelled from the rear and steered, this system was abandoned by Triang and very few of this type were made. Light storage wear otherwise an Excellent example overall, 49cm long.

* Alfa Romeo P2 - Racing Car. A scarce tinplate clockwork toy model by CIJ of Paris, representing the famous winning car of the 1924 French Grand Prix at Lyon and the first European Championship winning cars of 1925, painted tinplate with powerful clockwork motor, features include opening filler-caps, detachable spoked wheels with rubber Michelin Tyres, rack & pinion steering, outside handbrake, friction-type shock-absorbers and leather bonnet-straps etc, finished in blue with white racing number “2” imprinted to grille and body panels, a “barn-find” discovery, still in working order, showing signs of age-wear, paint-discoloration due to long-term storage, French-maker, c.1928 (1)

* “Automobile House”. A good early 20th c. tinplate toy motor-house by Gbr. Bing of Nuremberg, c. 1920s, decorative lithograph detailing with opening double doors containing within an original tinplate clockwork toy De Dion-Bouton Edwardian-style two-seater motor-car, very good original condition, although lacking companion limousine, the two-seater having bisque fairing of two children as passengers, German manufacture, c1920, 7 x 9in (18 x 23cm) (-)

In working order. GC-VGC minor wear overall. Windscreen `glass` requires a replacement.
