A charming vintage French made c1950's clockwork tinplate ' 2002 Auto-Miracle ' toy car. Made by Joustra , but distributed by Shackman & Co, USA. Red, with opening door and bonnet. Full working order, with original key. The 'auto-miracle' drives along, stops to pick up the passenger and continues its journey. With the original instruction manual present, and within the original box. Rare, superb.

Segrave's "Golden Arrow" Tinplate toy record-car c1929; An original period tinplate clockwork toy model by Gunthermann of Nuremberg Germany; a good representation of the famous record-breaking car driven by Sir Henry Segrave in taking the World Land-speed record from rival Sir Malcolm Campbell. Length 53cm. original gold-paint finish with tabbed Union-flag motif to tail-fin, driver lacking, shows some aging & related playwear but with working mechanism & key.

Donald Duck and Pluto Rail Car toy, circa 1930s, brightly painted wooden pull-along toy, Donald Duck and Pluto with articulated heads which move when pulled along, rail car with removable roof, paintwork rubbed in places, 18 x 36 x 13cm (7 x 14.25 x 5ins), together with a 1950s Fisher Price Donald Duck wooden pull-along toy, a 1950s Donald Duck clock by Glen Clocks of Scotland (not working), a Mickey Mouse Library of Games set, 1940s, lacking some cards and rules, a boxed Johnson-Disney Film Strip Projector, and an enamel Mickey Mouse Weekly badge First item very similar in design to that produced by Lionel in 1936, a clockwork toy designed to run on a rail track; ours has no maker's name and we have been unable to find another identical. An incredibly rare vintage c1949 Mobo Pioneer Covered Wagon child's pedal car / tinplate toy once owned by TV & Western star Roy Rogers . Metal construction, with tin horses to front. The pedal car retains its original canvas covering with printed detail, and even the plastic reigns still remain. Wooden slatted seat to interior. Rarest item in the ' Mobo ' toy line. Provenance; the peddle car comes with a small amount of paperwork relating it to Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans . A letter reads 'When we lived in Edinburgh...in the 1980's, one of our neighbours was William Merrilees and his American second wife... Merrilees was one of Britain's most famous policemen... amongst his friends were Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans.. on one of their visits to Edinburgh it was said that they (Roy & Dale) gave the pioneer wagon as a present for the Merrilees grandchildren... prior to his death Merrilees gave the wagon to our family to be used by our children.' The letter is then signed by those concerned. Also included is a very small photocopy photograph showing Merrilees with Dale Evans. Some other paperwork included showing how to assemble the pedal car. Roy Rogers was an American singer and actor. He was one of the most popular Western stars of his era. Known as the "King of the Cowboys", he appeared in over 100 films and numerous radio and television episodes of The Roy Rogers Show. In many of his films and television episodes, he appeared with his wife, Dale Evans; his golden palomino, Trigger; and his German shepherd dog, Bullet. His show was broadcast on radio for nine years and then on television from 1951 through 1957. His productions usually featured a sidekick, often Pat Brady, Andy Devine, George "Gabby" Hayes, or Smiley Burnette. In his later years, Rogers lent his name to the franchise chain of Roy Rogers Restaurants. 123cm in length
