2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI 'Tommi Makinen' Edition Transmission: manualMileage:83490By mid-1996, Mitsubishi's rallying success began to really reflect in Lancer Evolution sales. The 1996 World Rally Championship season brought Mitsubishi, a new driver, the blisteringly quick Finn named Tommi Makinen, and its first World Rally Championship drivers' title. By 1997, rallying had captured the imagination of people all over the world and Mitsubishi sold 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! In the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite drivers four consecutive WRC drivers' titles from 1996-1999, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 'Tommi Makinen Edition' (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour de force, but the TME had a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension, quicker steering, a different exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for even better cooling and authentic 17" WRC Enkei alloy wheels. Plus, there was a special interior, featuring embossed Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel with red stitching. The performance upgrades saw the 0-60mph sprint obliterated in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150mph. Power was rumoured to be over 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp stated. This lovely, right hand drive, UK supplied, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI 'Tommi Makinen' Edition, numbered 029, was first registered in April 2001 and has been serviced and fully maintained since with a fully stamped service book. In 2014, at about 70,000 miles the engine was removed and completely rebuilt, uprated and balanced using a number of racing components including C-Tec tubular exhaust manifold, a Precision 6262 Generation 2 Turbo charger and a new remapped ECU, all at a cost of over £10,000. It was then Dyno'd on a rolling road giving a reading of 570bhp. Finished with silver paintwork and having the correct original black and red chequered Recaro seats, the car is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024, the handbook pack containing the fully stamped service book and a file with invoices, previous MoT test certificates, which include details and invoices relating to the engine rebuild including the Dyno results. These rare, highly collectable, rally homologation icons continue to generate serious interest with collectors worldwide.

Lot 150

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 sits at the pinnacle of the World’s performance saloons, offering 592bhp, dynamic agility and all-wheel drive traction. With just 106 miles from new, this superbly presented, fully-specified example represents a very rare opportunity. The second Collector’s Edition by SVO, following the successful F-Type Project 7 of 2014, Project 8 is a hand-built four-door saloon with supercar performance – designed to thrill driving enthusiasts with an extraordinary combination of explosive power, dynamic agility, and all-wheel drive traction. To ensure exclusivity, just 300 examples were built, each assembled at SVO’s Technical Centre in Coventry. The car is powered by the most highly-tuned version of Jaguar Land Rover’s 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol powertrain featuring a Titanium Variable Active Exhaust and offering 600PS (592bhp) and 516lb/ft of torque complemented by Jaguar’s All-Wheel Drive system and motorsport-derived aerodynamics to deliver a 200mph top speed and 0-60mph in a remarkable 3.3 seconds, making Project 8 the fastest accelerating Jaguar road car yet.Based upon the entry-level Jaguar XE Saloon, the Project 8 was conceived by Jaguar to be 'the most extreme performance Jaguar ever created'. Whilst it may still be recognisable as an XE saloon, only the front doors and roof are carried over from the production XE, with the rest of the panels subtly (and some not-so-subtly) sculpted and modified before being made out of lightweight carbon fibre. Carbon fibre panels include bumpers with enhanced cooling ducts, the bonnet, front air splitter, side skirts, adjustable rear spoiler, rear diffuser and adjustable rear aerodynamic wing. The result was the lightest V8 saloon in the range combined with lift reduced by 205% and a claimed 122kg of downforce at 186mph, with the Project 8 happily continuing onwards to 200mph.The interior features gloss carbon fibre trim as well as Alcantara on the rim of the Project 8 sport steering wheel, instrument binnacle and door cards. The 8-speed 'Quickshift' transmission can either be operated by aluminium paddle shifters behind the steering wheel or by a central ‘Pistol' shift lever.Other Project 8 features include; manually adjustable ride-height and aerodynamics, Intelligent Driveline Dynamic settings for circuit use, the first application of Jaguar’s ultimate new Carbon Ceramic Braking system and, an industry first use of F1-style silicon nitride ceramic wheel bearings on a road car. This fabulous example was originally purchased from Sturgess of Leicester and first registered on 21st December 2020. It’s finished in Quad Coat SV Premium Palette Velocity Blue, with a Narvik Black roof and Jaguar ‘Leaper’ graphics. It sits on 20" Lightweight Gloss Black alloys and now bears the Cherished Registration Number PR08 JUR which is generously included in the sale. Options from new include Project 8 logos stitched into the headrests, a Project 8 aluminium commission plaque, vehicle data recording device, privacy glass, head-up display, solar attenuating windscreen, suede cloth/Windsor leather – Ebony interior, electrically adjustable steering column, adaptive Xenon headlamps with LED Signature, a rear view camera and finally a bespoke car cover. This is really special. Just 106 miles from new with its one and only owner. With just 300 built, most of which appear to have disappeared behind locked doors, the XE SV Project 8 is a Collector's dream. They seldom come to market, and this sparkling, delivery miles-only example In a head-turning shade of Velocity Blue deserves to be seen in the metal, and consequently we invite and encourage you to take a closer look at our NEC Sale.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XE PROJECT 8 Year: 2020 Chassis Number: SAJAA4BE0KS487730 Registration Number: PR08 JUR Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 18070623351508PS Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 106 Miles Make: Only LHD Interior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

Lot 198

One of just 50 finished in Passion Red from the 250 UK-supplied cars, less than 28,000 miles and direct from 20-year ownership. Launched at the peak of rally-mania, Mitsubishi experienced huge success in Lancer Evolution sales, reportedly selling 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! The 1996 WRC season brought Mitsubishi its first World Rally Championship drivers' title, thanks to a blisteringly quick young driver named Tommi Makinen. In quick succession, the Lancer Evolution VI came to be and, in the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite driver's four consecutive WRC drivers' titles from 1996-1999; the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 'Tommi Makinen Edition' (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour-de-force but the TME came equipped with a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension, quicker steering, an upgraded exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for improved cooling and authentic 17" WRC Enkei alloy wheels. The interior featured embossed Recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel and red stitching. The performance upgrades saw 0-60mph despatched in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150mph. Power was rumoured to be north of 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp 'Gentleman’s agreement'.Widely regarded as the finest Lancer to wear the Evolution badge, it was available in five colours, with Passion Red and Canal Blue joining Scotia White, Pyrenean Black and Satellite Silver. Only 250 TMEs (across the five colours) were officially imported into the UK, with 100 examples going to Australia, and the rest sold domestically in the Japanese market. Official figures show that of the UK’s allocation, only 50 examples were in Passion Red. According to Mitsubishi, it was these Passion Red cars that automatically received the renowned racing decals, known as a 'Special Colour Package' (SCP), meaning that these examples were factory-fitted with black door handles (so as to not break the line of the long profile decal). In the world of Mitsubishi aficionados, the consensus is that there were just 212 official factory SCP examples of the TME produced.Car #029 presented here is very special indeed. Not only is it a genuine Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition (CP9A/SNGF2) SCP car (i.e. one of 212), but it is also an official UK-market example. This means it was officially imported by Mitsubishi-affiliated Ralliart UK; hence it would have been professionally SVA’d, and is supplied with UK service books. Supplied to the first of just two owners on 16th October 2001, our vendor bought the car just two years later on 20th June 2003. The specification includes a Mitsubishi-branded Momo steering wheel, a digital clock, automatic climate control, Active Yaw Control, a Kenwood stereo, and an intercooler water sprayer. It sits on a set of white 17" 10-spoke Enkei alloy wheels, housing red Brembo brake callipers and shod with Michelin Primacy 3 tyres and an uprated exhaust has been installed.Presenting in stunning condition as evidenced by our images, the car has been looked after by the renowned specialists, Arnside Motorsport of Carnforth, where, at 27,875 miles, it received a full service and cambelt replacement service in June 2023. The most recent MOT is valid until 24th June 2024. It's presented to auction with the original Owners Manuals, service book, order form, a Kenwood stereo manual, and a collection of maintenance documents. A truly exceptional example.Specification Make: MITSUBISHI Model: LANCER Year: 2001 Chassis Number: CP9A0201505 Registration Number: YN51ZGH Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 4G63BG5911 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 27900 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black AlacantaraClick here for more details and images

The grey leather and carbon effect interior is in equally good condition, apart from the inevitable wear to the driver's side seat bolster and the engine bay appears almost showroom fresh. The 318Ci is powered by BMW's fuel efficient, 1,995cc four-cylinder that produces 143bhp and 200Nm of torque, enough to propel the car from 0-62mph in 9.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 135mph.This smart example has been enjoyed by four previous owners, has a full service and MOT history and will have a fresh MOT at the time of the sale. Highly original, 2-litre, 'time warp' example of the pretty E46 Coupé.Specification Make: BMW Model: 318 CI SPORT Year: 2003 Chassis Number: WBABD92030EN86708 Registration Number: NV53 PXG Transmission: Manual Engine Number: A2434063 Odometer Reading: 13436 Miles Make: Interior Colour: Grey LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 237

Delivered new to a British national in Marbella, registered in the UK shortly after, lovely service history and just 40,785km (25,343miles). The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta burst onto the World stage in the spring of 1994, with the Targa GTS and Spider following in 1995. The F355's name is derived from its 3.5-litre V8 engine and five valves per-cylinder, as denoted by the Cinquevalvole inscription on the rocker covers, and this longitudinally-mounted power unit generates an impressive 374bhp at a spine-tingling 8,250rpm. The con-rods are titanium alloy, the clutch is housed in magnesium alloy, and the Bilstein shock absorbers use electronic sensors to provide active damping.Confirmed by the accompanying service book, this Spider was delivered new in Rossa Corsa with Crema leather, Bordeaux carpeting and specified with the fabulous 6-speed manual gearbox. The first owner, a Mr D. Compton, took delivery from Testarossa Cars S.A. to his Marbella address on 7th January 1998 and, weeks later, registered the car in the UK on 22nd January 1998. The history file includes a Sytner Nottingham sales invoice dated 29th September 1998 made out to a Mr C. Burton with an odometer reading of 818km. A year later, a Mr A. Smith purchased the car from Sytner with an odometer reading of 2,900km. We assume that, although both invoices record the odometer reading in miles, they actually represent kilometres. Service stamps, receipts and copy V5C confirm the car's history.Having owned and enjoyed a F355 GTB in the UK, the previous owner set about looking for a good left-hand drive F355 Spider to use at his home in Monaco. After an extensive search, he purchased this very smart example on 1st April 2018 with 36,000km indicated. Prior to purchase, the car was inspected by Ferrari specialists Damax. Coincidentally, the car had spent time in Monaco during Mr Smith's ownership and was serviced at Ets Cavallari, the service arm of Ferrari Monaco, in 2003. During his residency there, it was maintained by them, and the car accompanied him back to the UK when he retired. Since then, its been looked after by marque specialists Damax and Keys Motorsport, the latter carrying out the most recent cambelt service in August 2021 at 40,375km.This Ferrari 355 was purchased by our vendor from one of our sales earlier this year. At that point, it was destined to join the stables at his French home, however his plans have since changed, making this fabulous car once again available for purchase. Reams of main dealer and Ferrari specialist service receipts complement the service book, and the V5C and tool kit are present. Furthermore, the car will be delivered to auction with a fresh annual service and a new MOT. The Cherished Registration Number N16 SSY, allocated to the car in 2005, is also generously included in the sale.Very few left-hand drive Ferraris boast British ownership from new and, for domestic buyers who wish to use the car for continental touring, the service history and provenance is reassuring. Equally, as a manual Ferrari F355 Spider finished in classic colours, this estimate represents real value for a European buyer in comparison to its contemporaries marketed on the continent. Specification Make: FERRARI Model: F355 Year: 1999 Chassis Number: ZFFXR48B000110776 Registration Number: N16 SSY Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 48447 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 40754 KM Make: LHD Interior Colour: Crema LeatherClick here for more details and images
