WATSON & SONS, 313 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON, 967 to circumference, mounted via universal joint onto a column turned upright over three hinged black japanned iron cabriole supports, in original fitted stained-pine box with a spare eyepiece lens and an extension tube, the box 103cm (40.5ins) long. The firm of William Watson and Sons is recorded in Banfield, Edwin BAROMETER MAKERS AND RETAILERS 1650-1900 as working in London from 1881 until after 1900.
