Young men may lose their estates in Ascot or Epsom but they may not bet for shillings in London streets or Parks. They were exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1888 - & a railing was put up before them to prevent injury from the crowd', 3 pages, small 8vo The Road to Ruin was series of five pictures intended to serve as moralities in the manor of Hogarth.
