A set of six Lloyd Loom type conservatory or dining chairs, grey painted, 48 cm wide x 52 cm deep x 104 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Paintwork appears to be original. In some areas there is losses to it, predominantly to the corner sections of the back and seats presumably through touching and it appears there is a white underneath but that appears part of the fabric rather than previous paint. There are no labels. They have clearly been used but are quite tidy. The brass on the feet has verdigris and patination and some scratching etc. General wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details
Elegant left-hand drive 120 Coupé, powered by an XK140 'S-spec' engine and classically presented in Jaguar Opalescent Silver. This particular Jaguar XK120 Coupé was originally shipped to the USA in 1952 before distribution through Jaguar Cars New York, remaining there for some time before returning to the UK in 1990, at which point a schedule of works was required to bring the XK back to a standard befitting of such an elegant Grand Tourer.Over the following two years, the body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Jaguar Opalescent Silver but not before new doors and an alloy boot lid were fitted. Mechanically everything was thoroughly checked and overhauled, including the fitting of a slightly later and more powerful XK140 'S-spec' engine fitted with a C-Type head. Various other works were also completed at this time, including the fitting of a stainless steel exhaust system, a replacement fuel tank with Facet fuel pump, a new wiring loom and woodwork refinished by Classic Veneers.More recently recommissioned after a period of inactivity, the Jaguar now presents extremely well and with a clean bill of health, is ready to be used once again as intended, be that out on the open road, gracing the show field or being left-hand drive it's particularly suitable for European touring. Fully 're-imagined' by Porsche Central Operations as part of a national dealership competition in 2014, this glorious, Viper Green, 911 has been further developed and enhanced by Porsche Central Operations and Northampton Motorsport. Designed and built by Porsche Central Operations in 2014, this remarkable 911 was completed as a one-off project to compete amongst all other Porsche Centres as part of their "50 years of the 911" restoration competition. The brief from Porsche Central Operations in Reading was to create a no-expense-spared car, that not only utilised all of their resources, but demonstrated their restoration ability to a global audience.Chassis number 9117301478 was originally built on 5th January 1977 and first registered on 7th February that year. It was fitted with a 2.7-litre engine developing 167bhp and had been enjoyed by five previous owners. In 2006, the car was taken off the road and stored in largely original condition by the Porsche Centre Guildford prior to making its way to Porsche HQ in Reading in early 2014.The car was stripped to a bare shell and prepared for a complete nut and bolt rebuild. At this point, the decision was taken that all components on the completed car should reflect the very best of 50 years of 911 development and evolution. Whilst the shell was being stripped, sandblasted, repaired and readied for paint, some key project decisions took place. The completed car would be finished in Viper Green, a colour that epitomised the seventies era. The wiring would be replaced with modern electronic systems and the suspension would be to a full RS specification all round. The front brakes would come from a 930 3.3 Turbo, the rears from a 3.2 Carrera and the cockpit would boast a brake balance control switch. The gearbox was to be rebuilt with strengthened main bearings. The exhaust system would ideally be loud but not insufferable on the road, and on a standard set up should retain a purposeful but not excessive growl, however, the system should also be adjustable to a full straight through race mode, whenever appropriate.The engine decision was to remove the original 2.7 unit and replace with a development 993 powerplant from the Porsche Technical Department. This was stripped, and nut and bolt rebuilt with "Cup" cams and a Wolf engine management system. We understand that Porsche confirmed at the time that "the engine has been dyno-tested at just over 300bhp, and the power-to-weight ratio is equivalent to a race specification 1974 Porsche RSR." They also confirmed that "we feel this bespoke 911 represents the ultimate reincarnation of the 911 RS concept. It has been built by some of the finest Porsche technicians in the business and the number of hours spent on this vehicle can not even be calculated".Iconic Auctioneers (Silverstone Auctions at the time) were lucky enough to be asked to handle the sale of this fabulous 911 back in 2015 and it was purchased by its current owner, our knowledgeable vendor and Porsche collector.He has used it lightly but has derived most of his pleasure from the car by commissioning Porsche Reading to further develop it, money no object, in the spirit of the 2014 build. They have added to the car's potency with an RSR 5-speed race gearbox with short-shifter, limited-slip differential and race clutch, all of which guarantee a bulletproof drivetrain. The Wolf ECU has been upgraded to a Life Racing Engine Management system by specialist Northampton Motorsport, taking power output up to 320bhp.This also required a new loom. The engine and gearbox oil cooling systems have been revised, corner weights and four-wheel geometry set up and the bright green instrument back plates were changed for a more conventional black (but the old green ones are included).Our vendor has cared for the car for nearly a decade with a thick invoice file attesting to maintenance regardless of cost, with upgrades and maintenance of approximately £45,000, however, the time has come to 'shuffle' his Collection and this remarkable Viper Green is being offered at our forthcoming NEC Auction. One notable work, the Gengzhi tu (Pictures of Tilling and Weaving), originated during the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279). This work included a series of scenes depicting the stages of silkworm rearing and silk production, accompanied by poems. The depiction of agricultural and sericulture scenes was seen both as a reference to practical farming and as a metaphor for a well-ordered Confucian society. In the Qing dynasty, this was further developed into an important subject to glorify the golden age under the justified governance of the Manchus and later editions were commissioned for the Kangxi and Qianlong Emperors, incorporating Western influences. These Imperial versions became popular in the West, as they offered key-hole glimpses into what life was like in the distant Celestial Empire. The present set bears a closer resemblance to the Qianlong series of 1765 in both format and composition. A Qianlong album of Imperially Commissioned Illustrations of Tilling and Weaving with Poems, is recorded amongst the collections of the Dalian Library in Liaoning. Compare also a book of woodblock prints of the 1696 Kangxi edition, with added colours by brush, in the British Museum, London (acc.no.1949,0709,0.1).For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Classically trained, his works focus on everyday life, including street scenes and fishermen. His characteristic bold colour palette brings these scenes to life. His work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Artists Alliance Gallery, 1999 and as Artist of the Month at The Loom Gallery, Accra, 1993. His work was also shown at the Black Swan Gallery, Wimbledon, 2003; the Golden Tulip, Accra, 2003; and the Bettie Morton Gallery, Brixton, London, 2004.

1964 Austin A35 van, 950cc. Registration number APR 813B. Chassis number A-AV542778. Engine number E299901.Sold with the V5C, keys, receipts for parts.Introduced in 1956, the Austin A35 could be had as a two- or four-door saloon, two-door Countryman estate or Van. The latter became a familiar sight the length and breadth of the UK serving tradesmen and delivery drivers alike. Powered by three different A-Series OHV four-cylinder engines during its twelve-year production life, the diminutive commercial was surprisingly fun to drive thanks to the provision of independent front suspension, a well-located hypoid rear axle and hydraulic drum brakes. With so many worked into the ground, survivors are comparatively few and far between.APR (April) is a three owner car from new, the first was Leslie Wallis of Sherbourne who used her until the 1980's when it was put into storage. On his passing it was bought a vicar Christopher Clipson of Bridport as a project in 1989. He started it and had the body repaired and painted, then it stalled and our vendor bought it in 2023. He has completed the work with a new wiring loom with halogen headlights, electronic ignition, electric fuel pump, 3.9 differential, new radiator, 950cc engine, new braking system (DOT 5 is used), including master and and wheel cylinders, rubber seals and generally all the bits needed to complete her. He has now decided to buy a larger classic so April is up for sale. She was driven from Rotherham to Goole for the auction and it should be noted that the brakes need bleeding.
