Long cut of the original film The Shining containing the scene in which Wendy, played by Shelley Alexis Duvall, carries Danny, played by little Danny Lloyd. These cuts, given by Kubrick to D'Alessandro, are particularly rare because the director notoriously burned all the leftovers at the conclusion of the editing.
Burgundy corduroy jacket with brown woollen elasticated waistband, shirt collar, 7 buttons, buttoned pockets on the front, L size, inside the label of Margaret Howell. The jacket was chosen by Academy Award-winning costume designer Milena Canonero after Jack Nicholson insisted it should be worn by his character, Jack Torrance, and a small number of it were made for the shooting of the film. This jacket is one of the most iconic stage outfits of American and universal cinema. Nicholson wears this jacket throughout much of the film, as he slowly descended into madness during his stay with his family at the Overlook Hotel, so much so that it is almost imprescidable from his character. “To Jack Nicholson [...] was enough to put on the velvet jacket that Milena had bought him, a minimum of make-up, a touch to the tuft and voilà, Jack Torrance”. On two of the coupons is also specified the first address of the film director in the United Kingdom, the Hotel Normandie in London. In the lot also another first-class "tag" of a journey undertaken by Kubrick from New York to Southampton with the United States Lines in May 1991, with, in this case, the address of his production company, Hawk Films.
