A 1967 MG Midget Mk III, registration number PLB 425E, red. The MG Midget is a no frills two seat sports car in the sporting tradition introduced alongside its sibling Austin Healey Sprite in 1961. The Midget would remain in production until 1979 with various engine upgrades and subtle body improvements. This Mk III example is an early square rear arch 1275 model. An older restoration which has had a colour change from its original blue to red. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with white piping and has an after market Moto-Lita wood rim steering wheel fitted. Further enhancements include Minilite style alloy wheels, a luggage rack, spot lights and a Kenlowe cooling fan. The MG is now said to be running well by our vendor and offers the next custodian tremendous no nonsense classic sports car fun. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration. A Set of Six 'Liverpool' or Fan Spindle Back Chairs attributed to Lancashire/Cheshire Circa 1790-1840. The birch top rails centred by a carved fan motif above two rows of five turned ash spindles between round turned uprights with nipple finials. The rush seats with protective edging strips supported by turned legs and stretchers, terminating with pad feet.
Cats Eyes Painted and very kindly donated by Ricky Gervais, an oil on canvas entitled Lion's Eyes. Ricky will most likely be know for his acting on both television and in film, his stand-up comedy and his podcasts but he is also an extremely outspoken animal rights activist and campaigner. With over 13M followers on twitter, he uses this platform to inform and educate his fan base on the horrors of animal cruelty. He is especially vocal when it comes to hunting. 23.5cm x 29.5cm. Ivory silk panel 27x22.5cm, with hand drawn scene in black ink and sepia wash: A regal female figure stand centrally holding a fan surrounded by birds, beasts, insects and fruit, a castle in each corner above her whilst the sun shines down upon her. Drawn in a mid-17th century style and we believe to be of the period.Provenance: The Penrose Estate, Porthleven, Cornwall.
