A 1967 MG Midget Mk III, registration number PLB 425E, red. The MG Midget is a no frills two seat sports car in the sporting tradition introduced alongside its sibling Austin Healey Sprite in 1961. The Midget would remain in production until 1979 with various engine upgrades and subtle body improvements. This Mk III example is an early square rear arch 1275 model. An older restoration which has had a colour change from its original blue to red. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with white piping and has an after market Moto-Lita wood rim steering wheel fitted. Further enhancements include Minilite style alloy wheels, a luggage rack, spot lights and a Kenlowe cooling fan. The birch top rails centred by a carved fan motif above two rows of five turned ash spindles between round turned uprights with nipple finials. The rush seats with protective edging strips supported by turned legs and stretchers, terminating with pad feet.
