A pair of emerald and diamond pendent earrings, each with a pear-shaped emerald drop framed with brilliant- and marquise-cut diamonds, to a diamond line of marquise and square diamonds, post fittings, circa 1960, length 5.2cmAccompanied by report number 5782-1865 from the Gemmological Certification Services, GCS, London, dated 27th May 2022, stating that the emeralds are origin Colombia, with indications of moderate to significant clarity enhancement, approximate total weight 30 caratsCondition Report: Please refer to laboratory report regarding the origin and treatment of emeralds. Each are well matched and have general numerous inclusions with some fractures that are surface reaching. Good transparency and moderate colour saturation. Diamonds are of good commercial quality. Approximate total weight of diamonds 4.00 carats, general clarity VS-I1, general colour for the small brilliants, H-I, and for the fancy cuts J-L. Mounts in good overall condition, a tiny drop of adhesive has been placed on the fittings that join the main detachable drops to the diamond cluster suspensions, this has obviously been done for security and could be removed easily if preferred. The post fittings are a later adaptation.
